BSOD, boot error 0xc000000f and system registry error 0xc0000225

Hi, I may have messed up my Windows quite abit after trying to do system restore while having problems with my GPU driver, all I had to do was reinstall the driver but I did a mistake of starting system restore after running DDU.

So this is what I did after searching stuff online, with pictures, in case it might help understanding my problem

I created a USB bootable media using rufus, and booted into it. I click into the UEFI:USB instead of the USB:USB because the latter did nothing and proceed to BSOD, while the first indeed boot into installation window.

Then I just proceed into the command prompt because startup repair did absolutely nothing.

I tried the bootrec.exe method because every tutorial I found lead to it, and did the steps carefully, but to no avail, it only returned to "the requested system device cannot be found" everytime after /rebuildbcd.

I also tried various other methods, but nothing worked, I dont know much about IT but after searching stuff, I suspect its because my windows partition is not GPT, while I boot up the media through UEFI so the USB media isnt working properly, is this the case?

I solved it, so my hunch was correct, it indeed have to do with the partition type, what I did was changing the partition type of the bootable usb in Rufus from GPT to MBR, then I booted up from the USB:USB(meaning BIOS I think) this time instead of UEFI, it works and its already different at this point, it really seems like the bootable media is working properly because the system "understand" each other.

I was able to complete the /rebuildbcd command successfully, and got through in booting, but I still have the registry error, however this time I dont have to worry because system restore is working properly and everything went like a breeze, my PC is working again.

Im so proud of myself now, I already feel like an IT wizard for figuring it out. :)

Glad to hear your pc is up and running again.

I read your post, and if I'm not mistaken one of the pictures is indicating a registry problem with the SYSTEM hive.
To explain, a hive is a file that's part of the registry and is like a tree where each leaf contains data about the system and a twig is the path to a leaf.
This SYSTEM hive contains lots of important data, including the BCD (boot configuration data) information, hardware and software related information.
0xC0000225 = status_not_found, implying that Windows could not access the SYSTEM hive and thus could not know how to boot.

Although I'm happy that you've solved your problem, it comes with some limitations that MBR has. The most important limitation is the support for the size of each partition/drive which is a max of 2TB, with today's hard drives that's quite an inconvenience. The other important limitation is that MBR only supports up to 4 partitions, which if you want to organize a large hard drive is another inconvenience.

Are u suggesting that I should use BPT partition instead of MBR? I had no idea about anything of those prior to this, I asked the shop to build me a PC and I got it like this. It seems like they didnt make use of the motherboard that support UEFI and installed windows on mbr partition? Not sure.
