    After installing update, system crashes

Hi, After the latest update got installed in my windows 10 system, my pc is having lots of problems. It takes a long time to start, long time to restart and long time to shutdown. If I hibernate and start Or if I resume it from standby, it results in a blue screen DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE. Luckily I had a backup taken on August last year and was able to restore it from that. It again download the updates and same behavior repeated. Now again I have restored from backup but now I am not sure what to do as it will again download the update and repeat it. Please help.

If you can identify the update, try using the "Show/Hide" tool to block it.

Look at View Update History in Windows Update the click on Uninstall Updates. Select the last one installed and uninstall it.
Reboot if necessary then go back into Windows Update, right click on that Update and select Hide.

    I hid two updates: KB4100347,KB4023057
So far it seems to be ok, but now the remaining updates are not getting installed. It gives the error-Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later.

    Error code: (0x80073712)

    Should I ignore this?

    KB4100347: Intel microcode updates
I don't think this one should cause you any problems but since it's a Microcode update, anything is possible.

KB4023057: “This update may request your device to stay awake longer to enable installation of updates.
Note: The installation will respect any user-configured sleep configurations and also your “active hours” when you use your device the most.
This update may try to reset network settings if problems are detected, and it will clean up registry keys that may be preventing updates from being installed successfully.
This update may repair disabled or corrupted Windows operating system components that determine the applicability of updates to your version of Windows 10.
This update may compress files in your user profile directory to help free up enough disk space to install important updates.
This update may reset the Windows Update database to repair the problems that could prevent updates from installing successfully. Therefore, you may see that your Windows Update history was cleared.”
    From here: https://windowsreport.com/kb4023057/
Not sure about this one but it seems like it could cause you some grief. This one is more likely to cause Windows Update problems if installed or in your case installed then uninstalled.

Suggest using Kyhi's Image Health to cleanup your system files. Follow the directions.

    Hi everyone,

I created below additional thread but have not been able to resolve my issue

Network becomes enabled only after restart - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums

My latest update is that I did a clean install of Windows 10, installed all Windows 10 updates, installed all latest drivers but two issues persist
    - System is unable to resume from hibernation/sleep and does a full restart
    - Network adapter becomes disabled and have to uninstall and install the adapter each time to enable it.

I strongly feel this has happened after the microcode update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...windows-server
and I don't see any way of reverting that back as I believe this is flashed into the bios.

I can see the following in the event viewer in the same order

    - Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001.There are 0x1 boot options on this system.
    - The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0xfffff80347fd3a9c, 0x00000000000000ff, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80347fd3a9c). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\041219-90531-01.dmp. Report Id: b84200c8-e775-4d35-a7d6-62974ae17bca.
    - Intel(R) Management Engine Interface driver has failed to perform handshake with the Firmware (FWSTS0: 0x00304181, FWSTS1: 0x153B0100).
    - The Intel(R) Management Engine Interface is being disabled.
    - Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection, PROBLEM: Unable to start the network adapter.

I humbly request any expert to kindly help as I already spent two weeks on this and I bought this system with my hard earned money and I can't dump it
