BSOD's caused by ntoskrnl.exe

The 1TB Seagate Samsung Spinpoint M8 ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB
is listed as a 2.5" laptop drive. Is the OP using it in a third party external enclosure?

I shall catch on that but with some modification. The problem appears to be closely entwined with Windows 10 plus may be some associated software . So I would suggest that the OP run Seatools for DOS putting Windows to rest. And yes, I have heard that it works better than Seatools for Windows. And sure there is a repair option. If some bad sectors are found invoke the repair option. Please read the user manual for Seatools for DOS and proceed.

Bad Sector Repair (Long Test)
If bad blocks are found during a long test, a prompt will ask how to proceed.
The screen below appears at the end of the scan or if the user aborts the test if bad sectors have been discovered on the drive.
Example:
Follow the instructions on the screen to proceed.

for creating the bootable CD and testing your drive.

For the Seagate drive there were no physical drive problems using Sea Tools for Windows or Sea Tools for Dos.
This indicates that it did not find any physical errors that would make the drive unusable.
HD Tune found 1 error and Macrorit found 5 errors.
The errors are logical errors.

Having logical and no physical errors is good news.

The steps below can fix both physical drive errors if found as well as logical drive errors.

Sea Tools can only fix Seagate and Maxtor drives.
Click on tests and indicate whether there is a fix all.
If there is a fix all in the menu then backup all important files and run the tool.
Post the results into the thread.

After completing the test open administrative command prompt.
Type:
diskpart
list disk
list volume
select disk 0
detail disk
select disk 1
detail disk
(confirm that disk 1 is the problematic external hard drive.)
clean all
(this command may take many hours so plan to run overnight.)

After the drive has undergone both Sea Tools fix all and clean all run administrative command prompt chkdsk /b /v D:
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.

The chkdsk /b switch will evaluate any bad clusters.


If chkdsk doesn't run after the above steps, then report that into the thread.
Then restore files to the external hard drive and run chkdsk /b /v D:

OP has clarified that it is an internal disk. The screenshot provided by the OP in his post #25, I would believe, is not the one pertaining to his drive. If during the Long Test SeaTools -DOS found any bad sectors then the option to repair would have popped up. Only if OP confirms that no such option pop-up appeared and SeaTools straightaway gave a "Pass" after its long run, then his drive is good to go.

OP's BSOD problem had been effectively resolved by the on target recommendations by zbook in his post #6

"3) Uninstall all third party software used to replace or modify drivers.
4) And replace all drivers installed or modified by the third party software:

a) Uninstall: Driver Easy 5.6.9 5.6.9 Easeware 20190309


b) Uninstall: Driver Booster 6 6.3.0 IObit 20190309

The OP's question now is " Is the HDD still repairable or do I have to replace it?"

The answer is if SeaTools-DOS did not find any bad sectors ( no repairs done) then it is fine.

zbook recommended a diskpart - clean all. That is right. But I would recommend the OP to Download Windows Executable (works without installation): HDD Low Level Format Tool ver.4.40 from http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-LLF-...l-Format-Tool/ to wipe the drive clean.

Just make sure to select the correct drive and not the system drive.( Also remove all other external storage devices to avoid accidental wipe)

You can watch the progress as it writes zeros to all sectors.

You may then do a regular format and run checkdisk as mentioned by zbook and report.
