Frequent BSOD for over 1.5 years have just replaced my RAM, PSU, MB.

It's also the only key component - along the memory, MoBo, SSD & PSU - that hasn't been swapped yet.

Thats what my train of thought was but am not 100% sure. In the Memtest errors is it possible that my CPU could be cause the errors seen in the test and not the memory?

Both RAM modules have failed Memtest86 in the same DIMM.
That indicates that the RAM or DIMM / MB is malfunctioning.

To differentiate the RAM versus DIMM / MB another RAM module that has passed testing in another computer is needed.

If the swapped RAM module passes in the the DIMM that had been used to test the RAM that had failed then that confirms that both RAM were malfunctioning.

If the swapped RAM module fails in the DIMM that had been used to test the RAM that had failed then that confirms that the DIMM / MB is malfunctioning.


If you do not have RAM to swap, the testing of a RAM module that has failed in one DIMM and passes in another DIMM supports a faulty DIMM. That is far from ideal testing but that is the currently available option.

2) IPDT has failed
3) Prime 95 has failed
4) Both RAM modules failed when tested in the same DIMM
5) iGPU drivers appeared in the latest memory dump

Swapping hardware that has passed in another computer would be useful in narrowing down the malfunctioning hardware.

Currently with all of the above I'm suspicious of a malfunctioning MB.

I don't have anyone I know near me who would have hardware that I could use to test.

Suspicious of Motherboard is interesting as had the exact same issues with my previous motherboard which is why I bought a replacement motherboard as after I replaced the RAM I assumed it must of been due to a faulty Motherboard. However replacing the motherboard has left me no different from when I started.

Prime95 failed before I had changed anything on my PC, before the new ram,MB,PSU etc I remember doing it maybe 6-8 months ago and it had those errors.

Am gonna test the RAM in the other DIMM (there are 4 dimms but B2 for now) and report back.

I'm sure you can see how frustrating it is for me (the pc) as changing components which seemed to be the problem at the time but made no difference etc.

There are too many simultaneous faulty tests and in order to rule in or rule out a swap is needed.

See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative or local computer store to make a swap.

So the RAM that was originally in B2 that I moved to A2 for my 2nd Memtest86 that failed, I just finished the 4 passes on that with it now back in B2 and is passed.

So am now while I'm away from PC for a bit testing the Ram which was originally in A2 that failed the test the 1st time I did a test and moved it to B2 and am going to run the Memtest86 on that one now. Now I know you said 8 tests are needed but am going to test the other stick for 4 for now and then possibly do the other 4 passes on the previous stick. Just interested to see what happens now.

See if you can perform two Memtest86 for 4 passes each for each RAM module on at least two different DIMM.
If you have time you can test a third DIMM overnight.

With the limited hardware available for testing the fail in one DIMM and the pass in another DIMM is more evidence for a MB problem.

Please post share links for the Memtest txt reports into the thread whenever possible.

So I'm trying to piece together some old information about my PC.
So I bought it 29th May 2017 2nd hand off someone off gumtree who was selling it as no longer needed it.
I believe I remember saying they use to overclock the CPU when they had it.

Sept 2017 I posted on reddit asking why the CPU was running under expectations. This was the userbenchmark at the time https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/4714595

And I discovered by CPU was only running on 2 cores instead of the 4 it had, I then changed it so it ran on 4 cores as it should.

Is it possible in some way that one of the CPUs cores could potentially be faulty and thats why when it was originally sold to me it may have only been 'running' on 2 cores as thats what he had it setup as for stability?

I may be going completely off the rails and being stupid but am just having the idea in my head.

Also the Ram which was in A2 originally and failed just failed the test in B2.
But is there any significance with it saying CPU: 4 on all the Memtest errors, could it be a faulty CPU throwing up all these errors and causing the instability.
