Forever boot Spinning white dots with black screen no logo 0x80000003

    Hello.

My computer doesnt boot. I get forever spinning white dots with black screen just right after MSI logo.

I have 2 windows seperate drives. I had problems in past when this drive couldn't boot. If I remember correctly, 2-3 times I got it to boot by using some of DISM commands, it had similair problem. Dism and sfc scannow fixed it.

But Now any command I use gets to error or crashes. I suspect that disk is in active state or something. Because from second windows drive the broken Nvme samsung evo drive is showing NTFS only and i cannot access it.

But I can access broken disk from any rescue enviroment. The disk is new and tested and it is fine. Files are not damaged.

I tried to provide a bit of debug information. And what I tried. Please let me know if you need anything more.

Hello melody lady and welcome to the Forum

Have you tried booting with just one of the drives? Also there is not enough free space on the current C:\ or E:\ drive and that might be causing problems. In some images it is C and in another it is E.

You can also use a rescue disk and boot from that so that you can repair the other disks. Have a go with Kyhi's rescue disk:
Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk.
One of the options you have from the rescue disk is to run Macrium and attempt a boot repair.

    Hello philc43. And thank you!

Yes I have tried all of that without luck. I have physically removed all drives except C: 464GB (Nvme drive that doesnt boot), still stuck on boot. Space for drive is plenty (That E picture is shown just from second windows drive to show you how he sees the disk).

I have runned macrium boot repair. I have also unplugged everything from computer usb ports in boot (except wifi because its built in my motherboard.). I have fiddled also with hirens tools. No luck. Last picture is from kyhi rescue cd. It sees the drive and files ok. The version of windows is 1703 (Build 15063.0) i think. If that helps to something.

Do you need some kinda of dism logs or other logs for me to copy? Maybe that could help. Please let me know, thanks.

I think I would be inclined to copy everything you need from the c:\drive and then clean install the latest windows version making sure all other disks are removed first.

That's not solution as I have specific programms and projects that will not work after copying and migrating. Because they store data in crazy places and random caches all around windows.

I prefer help that fixes this boot problem. I do believe this is in some way fixable. Because operating system is not corrupted really. It's just stuck somewhere. I hope you can help me figure out this guys, thanks.

I did wonder if you had specific programs that you could not reinstall. I quite understand. It is possible the OS is stuck in the middle of trying to upgrade to a newer version of W10. You are way behind for some reason.

Can you run the SFC and DISM commands from the rescue disk to scan the problem drive? If you want to post the logs from these operations we can check them.

I also think you would be better posting this in the general forum since this sub-forum is for BSOD problems only.

Maybe you could explain the two windows disks and the actual number of storage disks you have. I would use Kyhi's recovery disk and then post a screen shot.

Disk Management - How to Post a Screenshot of

Please disconnect drives not needed for boot to simplify story.

Your external boot media seems to be from 1607 and if I read right you are running DISM on 1803 (17134). Believe they have to the same version.

Using Kyhi boot rescue open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

    Code:
    bcdedit /enum
    bcdedit | find "osdevice"
    diskpart
    list disk
    list volume
    select disk 0
    detail disk
    list partition
    select partition 1
    detail partition
    select partition 2
    detail partition
    select partition 3
    detail partition
    select partition 4
    detail partition
    select disk 1
    detail disk
    list partition
    select partition 1
    detail partition
    select partition 2
    detail partition
    select partition 3
    detail partition
    select partition 4
    detail partition
    select disk 2
    detail disk
    list partition
    select partition 1
    detail partition
    select partition 2
    detail partition
    select partition 3
    detail partition
    select partition 4
    detail partition
    select disk 3
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 4
    detail disk
    list partition
    exit
When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    Copy and paste:

    Code:

If you can access safe mode & gain access to Windows then you can try turning off fast startup & ‘allow Windows to use my sign in information to fishing setting up this pc after an update’.

    • Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    • Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    • On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the manufacturer’s logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    • Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    • When Windows restarts, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    • Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    • Allow your device to fully restart. You will enter winRE.

Now that you are in winRE, you will follow these steps to take you to safe mode:

    • On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

    • After your device restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select option 5 from the list or press F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.

Well? How did it go? Just curious too, and I really consider wiping the drive and start clean, really! :)
