So I've ran the latest DDU and now the latest Nvidia driver won't install, getting the error "Nvidia installer cannot continue, The standard nvidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows, Please update your driver using Gerforce Experience to download the correct version"

I have selected the correct card, windows 10 64x etc, I'm at a loss lol (Currently using the standard windows Nvidia driver which works great)

    1) Open a browser that can use JAVA ( for example Internet Explorer)
    2) Launch the Nvidia driver detector:
    NVIDIA
    3) Install the most up to date driver

The prior Nvidia driver version was: 25.21.14.1771

    1) Which antivirus software is installed on the computer besides windows defender?
    2) Open device manager > click view > click show hidden files > manually expand all rows
    a) > look for any row displaying a yellow triangle with black exclamation mark or unknown device > post an image into the thread
    b) > post an image of display adapters
    3) What happened using the Geforce experience method?

    That's great news.

    You are welcome.

Usually several days are used as sufficient time to no longer have BSOD.

Once the computer is working to your satisfaction consider making a new backup image.
Save the backup image to another disk or to the cloud.

There are free and pay versions depending upon the features needed.

Macrium is widely used in Ten Forums.
Other software are Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Paragon, etc.
There is a forum devoted to this topic:
Backup and Restore - Windows 10 Forums

    If there is:
    ransomware
    malware
    corruption of the operating system
    corruption of the registry
corruption of the drive file system
    drive failure
    failure to boot
    etc.

most or all of the above can be fixed in less than one hour by restoring an image:
either onto the same drive or a replacement drive.
