    Win10 Pro Black screen crashes

    Hello Folks,
so the PC is brand new and built by me
for around 6 months everything has been perfect and running smoothly
until i started getting Black screen crashes
    the symptoms are
no signal displayed on both screen
    rgb lighting crashes
    no sound
lights on keyboard and mouse both turn off but power still present as charging
    temps were below 45 degrees
    fans still running
    holding power button does nothing

now i thought this could be down to a PSU issue so i bought a new 850w PSU
    same thing still happens
    maybe ram ?
so got new ram and still the same thing
checked all HDDS still the same

    checked windows crash logs
nothing shows up apart from when i have to turn is off from mains and restart
it then shows up saying error was not turned off correctly and thats it

    any idea folks ?

Black Screen errors are caused by GPU drivers or hardware. Pull your GPU card and test in another computer to see if it is bad, along with check all other components to make sure they are properly seated, along with the CPU.

I also started getting these since update to 1809. Components are a few months old and everything was perfectly fine until windows 10 1809 update though I'm not rulling out the gpu drivers.

You could try rolling back to 1803. If that resolves the problem then you knwo for sure it's a Windows 10 problem and not your GPU.

Do you guys have fast startup enabled?

How to disable Windows 10 fast startup (and why you'd want to) | Windows Central

I had witnessed few of these upon ugrading to 1809 as well - and mostly after PC was restarted, I think? - but disabling fast startup resolved it.
