Cannot fix bsod (driver power state failure) with the common solutions

    Hello,

I owned an ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. - E403SA since July 2018. From the beginning of its usage, I used to loose my internet connection but I did not consider it as something unusual as it is a very cheap laptop and I put the blame on its wifi card (obviously I am talking about a wireless connection). The connection problem was being fixed by restarting my pc and running the network diagnostics. However, in last two months I loose my connection more often and the restart process is always very late and ends up to a BSOD with an error code which concerns a driver power state failure. The BSOD doent stands for long, just for some seconds, then the restart process continouus normally and my laptop opens again.

I tried to fix the problem by googling it but common solutions didnt help me. To be more specific, according to windows 10 all my drivers were up to date. Moreover, I downloaded driver easy software just for sure and I updated all the drivers which should have been updated. The problem didnt fixed neither with windows drivers, nor the driver easy drivers.

So, I followed the power solutions but it didnt work for me either. In that point I have to mention that the option "Change settings that are currently unavailable" is missing from my pc. Dont ask for screenshot, my os is in greek, just trust me. I suppose that making that option visible may solve the problem as I would follow the power option steps more correctly.

In adittion, when I am right clicking on a file located in my desktop or documents my OS instantlly crushes and recovers some seconds later. This is a graphics driver problem but the driver which fixes that problem is not recommended neither by windows 10 nor by the driver easy as it is outdated.

I would strongly appreciate some serious instructions guys. This is my first experience with windows 10 and it is below my expectations.

PS: Sorry for my english. It is not my native language.
PS2: I didnt post it in BSOD threads because I have more OS problems as well.
PS3: I will be back checking your answers as soon as possible.

    Thanks
      My Computer

    Hi,

    Attention:

Before posting a BSOD thread, please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

If you need to add new information, please make a new post in your initial BSOD thread. Please do not make an extra new thread.

If your Windows 10 OS is in foreign language it can not be analyzed. Please change the system language to English and post the log collector zip as described in the posting instructions.

Can you provide us with the kernel memory dump please? Its located in C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP.
You can upload it to an cloud service like dropbox or onedrive.

There are NO crash dump files (*.dmp) in the zip archive. Please check Windows settings below:
Configure Windows 10 to Create Minidump on BSOD | Tutorials
How To Configure Various Dump Files In Windows 10 - YouTube

If you are using CCleaner or other cleaning tools, deleting of memory dumps should be disabled.
    CCleaner.com - System files
Alternatively, do not use cleaning tools as long as the problem is not solved.

After doing this please wait for further crashes and post a new log collector zip.

Please dont forget to look at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

Please run the BETA log collector and post a zip into the thread.

    (extract all > open)

    For each BSOD:
    a) Run the DM and BETA log collectors > post zips for each into the thread
    b) open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp > if the size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

Guys I had a very fresh crash but I am a little bit confused. I followed BSOD's HUNTER instructions and I downloaded Create_Minidumb_On_BSOD.reg. Before I pressumed upon that, I saw zbook's answer and I downloaded the beta collector. That works for me , I mean I found some dump files and extract them. Then I restarted my pc and I used DM collector which resulted from Create_Minidump_On_BSOD.reg (BSOD's HUNTER answer) and I found some dump files there too. However, I think they are not enough and I feel I dod not make it wright. I am totally unfamiliar with this kind of information. I am uploading them wright here as they are very small and I do not need dropbox or something in order to share them with you. I wish I helped you but I am a little bit pesimistic about what I did.Attachment 215288Attachment 215289

    Thanks for your patience!

    1) The latest mini dump had problems with corruption:

    Code:
    BugCheck 1000009F, {4, 12c, ffff800ba8eb8040, ffffc688b5437a40}

***** Debugger could not find nt in module list, module list might be corrupt, error 0x80070057.

    2) See if you can identify any drivers installed by:

    Code:
    Driver Easy 5.6.7 5.6.7 Easeware 20181026

    3) Uninstall all of the drivers installed by this software

    4) If you are not able to identify the drivers see if there is system restore point that is earlier than 10/26/2018 and perform a system restore

    5) Uninstall Driver Easy software

    6) All drivers should be installed from the motherboard manufacturer website:
    E403SA Driver & Tools | Laptops | ASUS USA

    7) For any drivers needed that were not displayed on the motherboard website then download drivers from the component manufacturer websites: Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.

    8) Websites that check for drivers can install unknown files

    9) Memory dumps are automatically deleted when the free drive space is < 25 GB.

    Code:
DriveLetter Size (GB) Free (GB) Device Path
    ----------- --------- --------- -----------
    C: 57.48 8.09 \Device\HarddiskVolume3

    Code:
    ------------------------
    Disk & DVD/CD-ROM Drives
    ------------------------
          Drive: C:
     Free Space: 8.3 GB
    Total Space: 58.9 GB
    File System: NTFS
          Model: SanDisk DF4064

    10) Most memory dump files when they form are < 2GB.

    11) See what you can do to increase the free space on the Windows drive so that there is > 27 GB free space.

    12) In the logs the memory dump file was created with bugcheck 9F and then it was automatically deleted:

    Code:

    14) And also displayed:

    15) The RAM modules displayed different manufacturers.
    16) When was the latest module installed?

    17) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings
    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery into the thread.
    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > under performance options > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory tab into the thread
