    BSOD Randomly

    Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing crashes since a Windows update earlier this month. Seems to happen randomly and
most of the time the screen blacks out and then freezes. Not exactly sure where to go from here.

    Thanks

There was only one crash dump in your files so I suspect that the earlier ones are being deleted by CCleaner. I could not determine much from that one dump so I will need to collect a few more for analysis. Please post again when you have had a few more crashes. Make sure CCleaner is not set to delete windows mini-dump files. Use the log collector provided at the end of the BSOD posting instructions which will provide more information.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I've set CCleaner to not delete the mini dump files now and ran the beta log collector. See attached.

    1) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings
    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery into the thread.
    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > under performance options > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory tab into the thread

    2) Open Ccleaner > click windows tab > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

    3) Turn off Windows fast startup:

    1) For startup and recovery system failure:
    a) change complete memory dump to automatic memory dump
    b) uncheck automatically restart
    c) reboot

    2) For Virtual memory.
This is to reset the paging file:
    a) Move the dot to no paging file
    b) reboot
    c) move the dot back to system managed size
    d) make sure that the box is checked to automatically manage paging file size for all drives
    e) reboot

    3) For Ccleaner uncheck:
    Windows log files

    4) For any bsod > run the BETA log collector and post a new zip into this thread

    5) List all antivirus software installed on the computer.

    6) Open disk management > by default the columns are compressed > widen these two columns: Status and Volume > make sure the characters in each row are in full view and that none of the letters are cut off > post an image into the thread

    The log bugchecks were:
    FC
    EF
    1E
    133
    3B
    50
    BE
    1A
    D1
    EA

    1) Identify any drivers installed using Driver Easy
    2) Uninstall Driver Easy
    3) If you are unable to identify the drivers installed with this software perform a system restore to a date that predates the installation of any drivers.
    4) Sometimes a clean install needs to be performed to remove the drivers that could have unknown files

    5) For the installation of any drivers always use the computer or motherboard manufacturer websites. If a driver is not displayed then use the component manufacturer websites (Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.)

    6) Open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\windows\memory.dmp > zip > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    Code:
    Crash dump found at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
    Creation date: 11/01/2018 21:48:20
    Size on disk: 1538 MB

    7) Download and install Everything:
    8) Use Everything to search for: win32k.sys-20181101-0031.dmp
    9) Zip the file > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    Code:
    win32k.sys-20181101-0031.dmp 01/11/2018 00:31:23 1530.87

    10) Run Memtest86 for 8 or more passes:
MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool
A substantial portion of the testing can be done overnight.
Just one error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.
Then test one RAM module at a time in the same DIMM for 8 or more passes.
For all tests use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post images into the thread.
