    Bluescreen After 1809 October Update

I updated my computer to the new October 1809 update and everything went fine. Everything seemed to work just fine, but after I turned off the computer and started it up today I got this bluescreen. Windows 10 would not boot the first time, I shut off the computer and restarted it and then it started up really slow. I wondered if you could tell me what caused the bluescreen, was it something to do with the update?

    Thanks

    Hi CALHAWK2000,

The automated analysis of the dump would suggest a driver bug but I noticed there's a newer BIOS available for your motherboard here. I'd recommend updating to the latest and also using MEUpdate Tool on the same page just to make sure the motherboard is as stable as Asus have been able to make it so far.

You'd never had this problem on this system prior to 1809? The driver being singled out is secnvme.sys:

    Code:
    26: kd> lmDvm secnvme
    Browse full module list
    start end module name
    fffff803`4b8e0000 fffff803`4b903000 secnvme (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\secnvme.sys
        Image name: secnvme.sys
Browse all global symbols functions data
        Timestamp: Mon Feb 12 00:33:59 2018 (5A815177)
        CheckSum: 00030116
        ImageSize: 00023000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
        Information from resource tables:
I'm not sure if this is a Microsoft driver or a Samsung driver. Can you look at the file properties on your system and see whose it is?

See if the C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP file exists. If yes, zip it up and upload to a file sharing site like OneDrive then post a link to it here so we can download it. May not have any additional useful information, but then again it may. It's a large memory dump.

One other thing. Please run the Beta log collector shown at the bottom of the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions and upload the zip file it creates here please.
