BSOD when waking up from sleep - error 0x0000007a

When I woke my computer just now, it crashed with bug-check string KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR attributed to kbdclass.sys. This has happened before but I forgot how many times.

My computer cannot do Windows updates because of a hard disk thing.

    Attached is the log.

    Thanks for replying

I can’t update Windows It always fails. I can’t remember the error code, but if I remember correctly it’s a “CRC redundancy error”.

I will try to uninstall the programs you mentioned tomorrow.

Also using external keyboard on a laptop, some laptop keys are dead.

(Edit: Out of curiosity, how long does a SeaTools long generic test last for?)

The Windows upgrade failure can be troubleshooted.
In order for a Windows upgrade make sure that there is at least 20 GB free space.
In order for memory dumps to not be deleted make sure that there is at least 25 GB free space.
For drive performance make sure that there is at least 15% - 20% free space: ~75 GB free space.
The Sea Tools for Windows for a 500 GB drive may take two to four hours on a normal drive and can be run overnight.
The drive has a bad block and the Sea Tools may take longer.

The tests that can be run overnight are:
    a) chkdsk /r /v
    b) HD Tune full error scan
    c) Sea Tools long generic

    How old is the computer?
    Which hardware components were replaced?

Noted. In the process of removing the offending programs and cleaning the disk space.

Computer is 2 years old, hard disk 1 year old. Only the display has been replaced. Not looking to replace the HD yet.

As of this reply, HDD is on 13 GBs. And I am aware my computer has a bad block, Event viewer keeps on repeating the C: drive has a bad block.

Update: (sorry for not posting in a week...)

I closed the lid of my computer, and when I reopened it, the same BSOD occurs! I’m now considering unplugging my USB keyboard (a Logitech K120) before putting it to sleep.

    Any ideas?

Whenever there is a bsod please post a new beta log collector zip.
For the next bsod open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\windows\memory.dmp
If the memory.dmp is < 1.5 Gb then zip and post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.
When available please post the chkdsk txt and images of the HD tune, and Sea Tools for Windows results.

SFC /scannow failed at 24% with

“System Resource Protection cannot do the requested operation” or something like that.

I’ll upload the memory log in a bit
