    BSODs while gaming (+1 year)

    Hi guys,

This is my first post on these forums as I am growing impatiently with my build. As you can read in the title I get various BSODs while gaming, including:
    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH,
    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL,
    BAD_POOL_HEADER
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    ...

I have had those bsods referring to different drivers such as:
    dxgmms2.sys
    tcpip.sys
    ...

But most of the time no driver is mentioned when I receive the bsod.

    What I tried doing:
-Bought new 8gb ram (to replace two 8gb which gave errors when running memtest86)
    -Installed windows 10 again
-Updating all drivers (including bios but could be that I am missing something)
-I ran prime but I dont think it was able to finish
    (-probably lots more... )

These bsods started happening from one day to another and I don't really have an idea anymore on where to look. I tried everything I could find while searching through various forum posts but can't pinpoint the problem.

    Could you please help me?

I have included two dmp files. If you need more of those (or anything else) be free to ask

    Thanks a ton

    Keef

Before posting a BSOD thread, please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

If you need to add new information, please make a new post in your initial BSOD thread. Please do not make an extra new thread.

Please do not post anything other than Windows 10 Blue Screen Of Death problems in this section.

    The 8/23 dump shows a problem with L1C63x64.sys .
    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {28, 2, 0, fffff80d36e10d53}
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for L1C63x64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for L1C63x64.sys
    Probably caused by : L1C63x64.sys ( L1C63x64+96cc )
Driver Description: Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)
Driver Update Site: Official site: http://www.qualcomm.com/drivers
    Unofficial site: https://www.ath-drivers.eu

The date of your driver is Sep 18 2017. I don't see anything newer.

If the problem continues I suggest buying a new PCI-E Ethernet card, disabling the on-board Qualcomm AR8151 and going with the new one. That should definitely resolve any NIC caused BSODs.

Yeah that L1C63x64.sys I found too so maybe that was not the best minidump example. I had a previous version installed when that happened and I haven't seen it returning so I guess that one is fixed.

Now playing overwatch where I don't get a bsod but just a freeze every other game. I have to manually restart my pc to continue.

I will continue playing other games to get more minidump files if that's helpful.

Everytime I have acquired a minidump file I check them with windbg. Every time ntoskrnl.exe is mentioned but I guess that doesn't really point anywhere.

    Thanks already though

Please switch to the Beta log collection tool which is at the bottom of the BSOD posting instruction page. It collects additional data which may be helpful. Thanks

Edit: Please don't rename the generated zip file, just upload it asis.

The log files are in a foreign (non-English) language and some can not be analyzed. Please change the system language to English and post a new log collector zip. Use the Beta log collector shown at the bottom of the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions link as it collects more information than the standard collector.

Add, Remove, and Change Display Language in Windows 10

You can put the language back to normal once done though you may have to do this multiple times if I need you to run the log collector script again in the future. Won't help with data that's already collected but newly generated data will be in English which can help.

    Thanks

I have changed the language and ran the beta collector. You can find the zip file attached.

Please uninstall any IoBit software you have installed, especial Driver Booster.
Also uninstall Discord for now. Reinstall latest level later if you still use it.

Also update to the latest Nvidia driver for your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980.
You have version 398.36 dated 24/06/2018.
The Nvidia web site has version 399.07 dated 27/08/2018.
    Follow these directions please:

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

I suggest completely uninstalling the Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile here: Official Download Here. Do this in Safe Mode. Then get the latest driver for your Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Then do a custom install of only the NVidia graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.
