BSOD while using Vega 11 Graphics ( New build )

    Hello.

I've been having this problem with my new build since I put it together.

Whenever I install Radeon Drivers for Vega 11 iGPU, my system will crash. I always will get a BSOD while
    using the iGPU

Currently, I have disabled Vega 11 from the device manager and am able to write this. If I enable it my system will
    crash.

I get the Kernel Critical 41 error everytime before I get a BSOD.

I need help. I've played with BIOS settings a lot and none of them has solved this problem.I've reinstalled windows, tried the 1709 version but it has not helped. I can only run stable if I disable the Vega 11 in devmanager. Help me please.

    My build-
    PSU - Corsair VS 450W 80+

    MSI x370 Gaming Plus

    Ryzen 2400G

Corsair Venegance 3000Mhz C16 Latency memory kit

    Segate Barracuda 1TB

    Current OS- Windows 10 ( 1709 )

Edit 1:- First test ( 23/08/18) done while Vega 11 enabled. Second (22/08/18) without it.

As you can see below all of your dumps point to the atikmpag.sys driver as the possible cause.

Create a Restore point and then update your GPU driver from the following link. Let us know if this resolves your issue.

I suggest completely uninstalling the ATI display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile (near bottom of page) then get the latest as @Techjourney mentions.

Then do a custom install of only the Display driver. Do not install the Catalyst Control Center.
See if that gets rid of the problem.

    Thanks ztruker,

Yes that is a better way to install the new driver.

    1) Windows will automatically delete memory.dmp files when the free space on the windows drive is < 25 GB.
    2) Often mini dump files can be used in the troubleshooting but sometimes the misbehaving driver(s) are only displayed in the memory dumps.
    3) The drive is not a large drive but if you can increase the free space to greater than 25 GB that would improve the troubleshooting in case the memory dumps are needed.

    4) What method did you use to block the automatic upgrade to windows 1803?
    5) When do you plan to perform the upgrade?

    6) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums
Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    7) Make sure that there is no over clocking during the troubleshooting process

Reinstalling without Radeon settings did not help. I'm attaching more recent log with dump files hopefully included. ( Increased size of C: )

They are still all the same atikmpag.sys as before. Looks to me like you have a defective video card.
RMA it and see if a new one has the same problem (hopefully not).

In addition to ztucker's post please perform the following steps:

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /r /v
Run this command on all partitions using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

Use the txt and images in this thread to find the chkdsk reports in the event viewer > copy and paste > notepad > post one drive or drop box share links into the thread

Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

    2) Run HD Tune: (free edition) (on all drives)
    https://www.hdtune.com/
Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Health (SMART)
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials

    3) The logs indicated the AMD GPU was disabled.
    4) Which video card is currently in use? the default motherboard graphics?

    5) Download and install: Everything
    voidtools
    Search for:
    PoW32kWatchdog-20180822-2054.dmp
    PoW32kWatchdog-20180822-2054.dmp 22-08-2018 20:55:00 383.79
zip the file > post a one drive or drop box share link into the thread

    6) Search for:
    C:\windows\memory.dmp
    Crash dump found at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
    Creation date: 08/23/2018 22:22:03
    Size on disk: 463 MB
zip the file > post a one drive or drop box share link into the thread

    7) Use DDU to uninstall all AMD drivers.
Official Display Driver Uninstaller DDU Download
Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.8.2 (or newer version if available)
Display Driver Uninstaller: How to use - Windows 7 Help Forums

Then use everything to search for each:
    atikmpag.sys
    atikmpad.sys
(These AMD drivers should no longer be found after using DDU)

    8) What method did you use to block the automatic upgrade to windows 1803?
    9) Was this a Windows upgrade failure?
    10) If this was not an upgrade failure then when do you plan to perform the upgrade?

    Code:
AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 11 Graphics PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_15DD&SUBSYS_7A331462&REV_C6\4&28056CF2&0&0041 This device is disabled.

Hello Gurus. Upping the Vsoc voltage to 1.25 and clocking the igpu to 1240Mhz and setting GPU VID voltage 1.25V seems to have solved the problem. I get no BSOD's after doing this.

The thing I'd like to ask is -

1.) Is 1.25 voltage for VSoc safe?
2.) Will it in any way damage anything?
    3.)Is this a permanent solution?

I disabled windows update from the settings. Windows does not check for updates until I tell it to.
I plan to upgrade now as my issue "seems" to be resolved. I'd like to wait for 2-3 days and see if any other error pops up.

PS- Seems like I installed updates yesterday. Now my PC is on the latest version of windows with all updates installed.
