Basically it shows all your search results as lists instead of you having to go through the Windows Regedit where you have to keep pressing F3 to find your results one by one. Overall I find most all nirsoft utilities better at what they do instead of the native Windows utilities.

Out of curiosity, but more to the point, were you able to narrow down what app/software you had installed on the dates shown by the nirsoft results?

To be perfectly honest I didn’t pay too much attention, I didn’t set anything up, just entered the search term....why two of the reg entries couldn’t be deleted, I don’t know, I did export these two, tomhave a look at later..

back to your question, is it easy to find the info you mentioned...from this software ? Otherwise no I do t know really, I was trying a lot of freeware over the past few weeks, so that’s always like playing Russian roulette

    thanks

If you are lucky the dates the registry keys are shown as created would coincide with a particular app/software you had installed at the time. If you then searched your system (Windows Explorer search - sort by date) for apps/software coinciding with those dates, you may be able to narrow down your target rogue app. It doesn't always work out that way, but it is one available manual option for finding a rogue app.

The main thing is that you need to make sure your system is malware free.

Got a message from the mods saying not to make a post here unless it’s a BSOD issue, but the forum title says and debugging.....not sure if it should be assumed it means debugging of BSOD......not what I thought....maybe just BSOD issues......

    NABP.......just IMO

Have a look in the windows registry for sduiwtjj and etrvdruu one by one. Use the RegScanner utility by nirsoft, so in case it is found it can show you the dates of the registry entry creations. If the entry is there the dates may help you narrow down your search for any programs you may have downloaded at that time.

Not sure if this is obvious , but thought I would mention it, I searched in safe mode for the two file names, still couldn’t delete the same two, but was an option to open in regedit, and I managed to delete one of them.....handy to know....still no sign of the strange message window thanks again
