Have you added entries in the hosts file?
NoteRun the tests on all hard drives/partitions!
Please run HDTune first, in the order posted!
Run HDTune to
- check the health,
- scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
- run a benchmark.
It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following
- the health,
- the error scan,
- the benchmark incl. following
- transfer rate,
- access time,
- burst rate,
- cpu usage.
Run SeaTools DOS to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums
Run the long test.
NoteDo not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.
Make a photo of the result and post it.
Run chkdsk
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums
Use option TWO with parameter /r
Upload the chkdsk log Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log - Windows 7 Help Forums
I have edited the hosts file; I figured it was simpler and less annoying than using a website blocker. If for any reason I need to remove those entries, I will.
I have performed the checks with the HDTune program, and will get to the other two tomorrow as just the first thing took all day.

My Microsoft Photos App also stopped working yesterday. I tried several things including updating, resetting, repairing, and registering (?) it. This didn't work, so I just uninstalled it and replaced it with IrfanView. It's something I've been wanting to do, so no big loss, but the fact that it happened at all seems concerning. I've included a screenshot of the error I got whenever I tried to open it. Windows Store and other apps still work fine.

It might be related to the hard drive, but before drawing conclusions let's first see the other logs.
Alright. Whew. These tests take a while.
Please test the system and let me know how it goes
Code:1 unindexed files scanned. 1 unindexed files recovered to original directory.
I wasn't quite sure what you meant by testing the system, but I did an sfc scan? Here's the results: Attachment 196576
Oh...ok haha. That makes sense. An sfc scan doesn't hurt anyways, at least.
So far I haven't been having any more problems.
