Bluescreens and a lot of browser crashes

    Hello tenforums,

I build my PC 2 months ago and get bluescreens almost every day. It only happens when I'm browsing the internet (it has never happened while playing video games). My browser also randomly crashes no matter which one I use. I'm no tech expert so it would be very kind if you could explain me what to do as detailed as you can.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello kina,

I have looked through your logfiles but there are no captured crash files I can examine. The last one appeared to occur on 9th July according to the windows error reports.

Please run the log collector again after receiving another BSOD and make sure you run the beta version given at the end of the BSOD posting instructions - this will provide us with more information.

The crash dump file does not help to identify any third party drivers that might be causing this. The process running at the time of the crash was something called Kopanito Soccer, however, I can't tell if this was causing the crash and so we would need to review more crashes to see if it is a common factor.

A different process was running this time: Diablo 3. Still no clear picture of which driver might be causing this.

If you are comfortable running Driver Verifier you could try to see if you can force the driver to misbehave and identify itself. Please read the tutorial before doing this and pay heed to the warnings.

     DRIVER VERIFIER

    warning   Warning
Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
    Please create a restore point.

Please read and run driver verifier.

If you suspect a driver is causing a problem but do not have a clear idea which one it is then Driver Verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or until you have a bluescreen, whichever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset driver verifier from within safe mode, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

    Note   Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.
