Frequent different BSOD errors after installing win10 on new build

Hi guys, I have recently finished my first build and powered it up, installed windows to my SSD and downloaded most of the drivers/Ultility from Gigabyte’s website for my mobo. However I am getting very frequent BSOD errors with differeing texts. For example some were DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. Usually the messages are different. Also they occur much more frequently if I am trying to download a large file, for example I tried installing fortnite and Dota 2, both of which caused a BSOD or a complete freeze of my computer.

The computer itself is all new parts, however the SSD was from my old computer, which I secure erased and then reinstalled Windows 10 to after assembly.

There's a more recent BIOS for your motherboard which I'd recommend applying. After updating the BIOS go back into the BIOS settings menus, load default (or optimized) settings, change your memory settings to DDR4-2666 (it's the maximum officially supported by Intel for your CPU), then Save & Exit. After addressing the above please test the system and let us know whether or not the problems continue.

When I try to install that bios update my computer gives me an error saying that the app cant run on my PC, to find a version for my PC, check with the software publisher.

The recommended method of updating is to unzip the contents of the download to an empty flash drive, restart the computer and enter the BIOS settings menus, use the Q-Flash tool in the BIOS settings menus to navigate to and select the file B36MDS3H.F5 on the flash drive, and perform the update.

okay so i updated to F5 and selected optimized settings. After the update the computer kept trying to restart itself, turning on then turning off straight away after a second or 2 multiple times till i turned to power off and then it restarted normally

Update: so computer just froze dead, had to hard shut down. Could this be a problem with my RAM, maybe faulty or i have inserted it into the incorrect slots?

I'd suggest making sure the memory is set for DDR4-2666 and testing the system to see if it still has issues. I'm basically trying to get it into as stable a state as Gigabyte have been able to achieve for the motherboard using setting that don't overclock any components.

Bad RAM is certainly a possibility. If the BIOS update and removing the memory overclock don't help then the next thing I'd suggest doing is using the system as you normally would but with only 1 DIMM installed. Do the same for the other DIMM(s) to see if you can isolate a bad DIMM. Unfortunately, it's the only reliable way I'm aware of to find a bad DDR4 DIMM. None of the usual memory test diagnostic software (memtest86, Windows Memory Diagnostics, etc.) seems to reliably detect bad DDR4 memory.

Actually, I can see the DIMM name (F4-2133C15-4GVR) which suggests it's only rated for DDR4-2133 . So set the memory for DDR4-2133 rather than DDR4-2666.

AHH that makes much more sense. Yeah its set to 2133 atm and im still having these problems. Guess ill try taking out one stick at a time....
