    Hi F14tomcat, silvia cannot boot into any mode, device manager, or any other method within Windows, is of no use.

    Ok, thanks. Did find that ASUS mb spec. Maybe that's enough.

    Download the sata drivers from P5VD2-VM Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS Global
    , unfortunately the latest are for windows vista but let's hope they'll do.

    You can use this tutorial to install the drivers outside of Windows, although the tutorial is from eightforums.com, I doubt there'll be much difference for Windows 10.
