Strange BSOD occuring only once per day with external monitors

    Hello,

I'm stumbling upon a strange behaviour of Windows 10 on my work laptop.

I recently got two monitors: one is plugged with HDMI, the other with VGA. I don't have any docking station, hence the interesting way to hook these monitors.

Every day when I switch my laptop on for the first time of the day, I get a BSOD (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR).
I tried one day switching my laptop on without the external screens, but as soon as I plugged these back, this BSOD comes out.

What is even more strange is that it only happens once per day. When I reboot my laptop, the BSOD goes away, even if the external monitors are still plugged into my device.

Can someone help me with this mind-boggling issue?

Do the BSOD reoccur when the monitors are disconnected, the laptop rebooted and monitors reconnected?

No, it works fine. Which is even more strange.

OK, I think I found what is causing the BSOD.

I just received the docking station, bundled with a more powerful power adapter (65W instead of the 55W shipped with the laptop).
Until I received it, I was merely switching the laptop on with the 55W power adaptor. After having received the dock, I plugged in the 65W adapter, and I could be able to switch the laptop on without any issue now.

Therefore, I guess it's due to some clunky design regarding the power supply of this thing.

I tried to launch the log collector, but the archive file is not generated when it is launched with a domain admin account, which is mine. I tried to check on my desktop and in the desktop folder of the admin account I used, to no avail.
