BSOD after Windows April update (Build. 17134; Check code 0x0000001a)
Prior to the Windows April update, I had zero issues with Windows. However, with the new build, I get a seemingly random memory management error. It can occur within an hour, or even after about a day; I've tried various solutions:
- Updated BIOS firmware
- Updated various drivers (graphics, network, etc.)
- Updated software (thought it might be related to Docker, but it's not)
- Ran Memtest86 for a few hours with no errors.
- Ran integrity check - again, no issues.
I highly doubt its a hardware problem, as the error has only occured since the update. The update itself completed without errors, and I'm not aware of compability issues with the new update.
I dug through WinDbg and noticed that process associated with the crash is SearchFilterHost.exe.
I can rollback to the previous build, but I'd like to at least try to fix this.
