My Windows 10 machine updated itself today (taking a really long time).
When it was finished I rebooted it and I'm getting:
Recovery
Your PC/device needs to be repaired
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.
Error code: 0xc000000f
I tried booting from a USB and using bootrec but it doesn't seem to work but then again I may be using it wrong.
The HD is less than 1 year old.
Please advise!

When I boot from a USB stick and choose repair + console, I can see my drive.
bootrec /rebuildbcd find my drive but gives me: "The requested system device cannot be found."

The repair process should have created a file srtTrails.txt in Windows\System32\Logfiles\srt, could you copy this file to your USB and upload it via a different device.

I ended up buying Neosmart Easy Recovery Essentials, which fixed the problem with it's "Automatic Repair".
A web search revealed that many people have reported similar problems after the latest Windows update.
I hope the problem will not return.
