IT worked fine after following the instructions of uninstalling and installing the display driver. However this morning there was a stupid update of adobe player. Since installing that, with the same display driver issue, windows 10 crashed thrice for me

Run the log collector and post the latest zip file again. Let's see if it's the same problem (display driver) or something else.

It sure is the same thing. I had earlier used bluescreenview utility and it showed nvlddmkm.sys being the cause. this time it is the same too. It is showing the same nvlddmkm.sys. In fact trying to use the log collector also this time crashed windows for me.

I think the graphics card is too old versioned and it is high time to get it replaced by a better version in order to make it gel well with windows 10.

    Update ...

After adobe player update that had started causing the issue, I once again used DDU to uninstall display driver and installed the driver again. After that there is a lot of relief. I am not sure why an adobe player update destabilizes the display driver and starts crashing the windows.

Everytime uninstalling and reinstalling dispaly driver upon an update of adobe player is going to be tedious and clumsy.

A new graphics card sounds like a great idea. Any idea what you will get? I still have an old EVGA (Nvidia) GeForce GTX 750 but it is working well with no problems so far. I go tit when Windows 10 was first available for beta test.

That's pretty low end. I also don't like fanless cooling. I'd aim higher if I were you.

thanks for the advice. I can consider Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 2 GB DDR3 Graphics Card then. This one has a fan based cooling.

Looks okay but still low end. Not a gaming card though. Okay for games like Mine craft, League Of Legends, etc. HDMI connection should give you a nice picture if your display is cap[able of it. My Samsung 27" curved screen is too bright with a HDMI connection. I have to turn on eye saver which reduces brightness and sharopness.

Thanks for the tip. However, just to tell you - I am not a gamer and all. I dont play any games on my computers. Hence considering that , such kind of a card should do ok for me I am guessing.
