BSOD's related to memory / drivers, increasing in frequency

    There are some boot problems that can be fixed by repairing the registry.
    This method is regback
    If this step does not work the remaining step is to backup all important files and then create a new boot sector or perform a clean install.

    Open command prompt > Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources>

    1) cd \windows\system32\config
    It should display: G:\windows\system32\config>

    2) dir

    It should display: bbi, bcd-template, components, default, drivers, elam, sam, security, software, system, vsmidk, journal, regback, systemprofile txr, etc.

    All of the file sizes should be sizable.
    If it displays zeros then abort.

    Make a new directory and name it backup or something similar.

    3) MD backup

    Copy all of the files into this new directory.

    4) copy *.* backup

    It should now display: bbi, bcd-template, components, default, drivers, elam, sam, security, software, system, vsmidk indicating the files were copied.

    Change the directory to regback

    5) cd regback

    It should now display: G:\windows\system32\config\regback>

    6) dir

    It should display: default, sam, security, software, system etc
    All of these files must be sizable.
    If it displays zeros then abort.

    7) copy *.* ..

    It should now display:
    Overwrite ..\default? (yes/no/all):

    8) a

    It should now display: sam, security, software, system and that the files were copied.

    9) exit

    10) click turn off your PC

    Remove the USB flash drive if you had changed your boot order. Otherwise you can leave it and power on your computer.

    The backup plan is boot rescue.
    Find a flash drive that you can format.

    If a backup image were available:
    Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect | Windows 10 Tutorials

    At this time you can backup all files to another drive and make sure you keep all of the important files.
    Once that is accomplished the troubleshooting can continue knowing that all of the files are safe and if necessary a clean install could be performed.
    Once you have the files backed up a new boot sector may be able to be created.

    The current boot sector could not be repaired with the following error messages:
    a) system restore displaying "you must enable system protection on this drive"
    b) bootrec /fixboot displaying "access denied"
    c) attrib bcd -h -r -s displaying "File not found - bcd"

    This is a command that does not repair boot files.
    It is a command that creates completely new boot files by copying files from the Windows installation.
    Running this command is at your own risk and again it should be run once you have backed up any important files.
    BcdBoot G:\Windows /s F: /f All

    Journal, RegBack, systemprofile, and TxR are listed as <DIR> and don't have a size listed. Should I proceed?

    Please post an image of the error message for system restore.
    In this thread automatic restore is the title and the opening comment is that system protection must be turned on.
    Consider making a comment and a post in this thread to see if anyone else has seen the problem and has a fix.

    a) bootsect /nt60 sys

    (look for a result similar to this:
    C: (\\?\Volume{37a450c8-2331-11e0-9019-806e6f6e6963})
    Successfully updated NTFS filesystem bootcode.
    Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes.)

    b) (Reboot and check to see if this fixed the boot.)

    (If not then run this command:)

    c) bootsect /nt60 all

    Please post images of the results into the thread.

    In case these commands do not fix the boot then continue with the prior posts.

    That's great news!!!
    Please treat it as fragile.
    Make a Macrium backup.
    Make a brand new restore point.
    Post a new BETA log collector into the thread.

    System restore point created.

    The beta log should include two crashes - one when running the Windows Image Creation Tool, and one when running Macrium. In either case I was not able to create an image.
