BSOD playing Far Cry 5 (amongst other times), APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

Hi guys,
First time poster, long time BSOD sufferer, so apologies if this is the wrong place.

I have a custom built gaming PC, a good 4 or 5 years old now and for as long as I can remember I've been suffering from issues, I can't reboot my PC for instance (I can turn it off, but then I have to turn it on manually, power just keeps cycling through it if I press restart) and for a while now I've been dealing with the APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error, what seems like randomly.

I updated my BIOS which seems to have done absolutely nothing. I've updated to the latest windows build but this causes my system to BSOD almost instantly every single time, so I'm stuck on version 1703.

I've set up my PC to write dump files as per the instructions on this forum, but every time my system crashes the BSOD gets stuck at 0% and nothing gets written, no matter how long I leave it.

Getting a bit fed up now, I can't even catch any dump files to analyse myself, or use to attach here. I don't even know what to do anymore, just want to play Far Cry 5 without having it crash every ten minutes.

Thanks for the link! Seems to have solved it, played Far Cry 5 for about 2 hours last night which I haven't even gotten close to before, think it was a corrupted registry.

Can only hope that was the only issue.
