rdbss.sys error when closing program

rdbss.sys error when closing a pdf editor only occurring some of the times.

There were 8 BSOD mini dump files debugged.
There was 1 definitive misbehaving software driver.
The error reporting also displayed 1 hardware driver.

For all tests steps please post images into the thread.
If there are any problem posting images please use one drive or drop box share links.

1) open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
2) sfc /scannow
3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
4) chkdsk /scan
5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
6) Turn of Windows fast startup:
Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
7) Uninstall: Sophos antivirus
Sophos Endpoint Security and Control: How to remove from client computers - Sophos Community
8) The Sophos AV can be reinstalled 1 week after the last BSOD so that there is sufficient time for computer stability. If the reinstall causes a BSOD then find an alternative AV product. If there are no BSOD after re-installation then you can continue using the AV software.
9) Turn on Windows defender
10) The computer has Windows Build 10586. Are/were there plans for upgrading?

Hello Col Hibbert,

The bugcheck you are getting when closing the pdf file is a stop code 0x27 RDR_FILE_SYSTEM error. This can be due to insufficient memory, I would be surprised if you were running out of memory with 8GB but can you check by using task manager and monitoring the memory usage when running your system and doing the kind of tasks typical of when you get this crash?

1. Try another PDF reader.
