Wireless adapter gives BSOD Driver_power_state_failure

Hi, I'm having someproblems with my wireless adapter for about 2 or 3 months now and I hope someone here can help me.
I've been looking here and on the internet for solution but haven't found any.

The symptoms arethat I'm maybe transferring files between laptop and my WD MyCloud NAS or justwatching a youtube video and suddenly there is an exclamation mark over thewireless network icon in the notification area and the network is not working.
When I go intoChange adapter settings from Network and Sharing Center the adapter is disabledbut when I go into Device Manager the adapter is enabled. When I try to enableor disable from a right click the process just hangs.
When I try torestart or shut down the computer just hangs with the message Shutting Down orRestarting with those points turning in circles, first I had to hold the powerbutton to force a shut down and there were no information in the Action Centerabout the problem but now it ends in a BSOD after some time.

What I've tried:

Right clicking on the network icon and go through troubleshooting but it does nothing, ether it hangs on resetting the adapter or it goes through the process real quickly with no solution or fixes.
I've tried to remove and reinstall drivers
Scanned for malware.
Running sfc /scannow
Disabled Power Savings on wireless adapter.

It's an 5 year oldAsus N53SV laptop but I changed the original PCExpress wireless adapter 2 yearsago to the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.
I've attached thememory dump file so I hope someone can help.

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Warning

Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Fusion, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

An easy way to get remove these drivers is by using a restore point prior the installation.

Has Windows Update installed any drivers?

There are multiple drivers blamed, knowing the source of where you've installed the drivers from is very helpful given they aren't from the manufacturer ASUS.

Hi and thanks for the answer.

I've updated my system spec but because this is a laptop I have no idea what PSU or cooling are in the machine or where to find that out.

I've also disabled everything I think would be unnecessary startup processes.

I've only used Driver Fusion to completely uninstall drivers, never let that program install any drivers. I go direct to the computer manufacture site (Asus) or from the manufacturer of that component (Intel, Nvidia, etc.). Driver Fusion is now removed from the system.

There are no driver listings in the Windows Update history but I know I got the display driver for my internal graphics (Intel HD Graphics 3000) from there because Intel has stopped native support for Windows 10 for that chip and directs to Windows Update.
And I would think my USB2.0 Asus Blu-Ray Drive got the drivers from Windows Update too.

I'm going to let my system run for some time now doing my usual think and see if the problem persists or goes away and then slowly enable some of the startups processes to see if there was anything conflicting there.

Well it didn't take long until it happened again, tried to transfer my self ripped Star Wars collection to my NAS and the WiFi got disabled again.
I've attached a new zip file containing information from mini dumb file.

The startup items is not a diagnostics thing, it is recommended as a permanent thing because you have a lot of startup items listed (I don't know if they are all enabled or disabled) which are unnecessary.

Try booting in safe mode and try to uninstall the graphics drivers if possible (not sure), then reboot and let Windows install them again.

Your network drivers cause some problems too, I think those drivers are through Windows Update too?

Is your SSD firmware up to date?

I booted into safe mode and uninstalled the graphics driver for the internal graphics and let Windows install them again.

The wireless adapter supports bluetooth too and when I removed all traces of the driver couple of months ago for the wireless adapter and restarted then I assume Windows installed some drivers because the wifi icon was in the notification area and I could click on it and choose a network to connect but I didn't connect until I had installed the wireless and bluetooth drivers (there is one seperate driver for the wireless and another for the bluetooth part) from the Intel site.

Now I've removed again all drivers for the wireless adapter and restarted and let Windows install its sets of drivers and I've not installed the drivers from Intel.

Right now it is holding up. I've tried transferring my Star Wars collection again to my NAS, and it completed, while streaming a movie to my AppleTV with Plex Media Server and everything is going well (I test like this because it looked like every time I started to transferring or streaming it would put to much pressure or transfer rate on the wireless adapter and it would just disable it self).

I'm going to monitor the system for a few days and then try install the Intel's drivers again and see how it will go.

I would advice against installing directly from them, normally the laptop manufacturer should provide the necessary drivers but as yours does not provide support anymore for your laptop your only source is Windows Update.

Ok. Then I will leave those Intel drivers alone but the wireless adapter didn't come with the laptop, I replaced the original PCIe half mini card with the Intel Wireless-AC 7260 about 2 years ago.

I will give the system a few days to run, cross my fingers and see if the problem is solved and report back. Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

On the other hand if I may ask, Windows debugging fascinates me a lot and I was thinking where is the best place to start or get more knowledge on how to find and fix problems and bugs in the Windows system?

There are various of places where you can read up for how to find the cause in BSODs.

However, I think you either interpret our 'job' wrong or have written your sentence wrong as we do not find bugs in Windows, we analyze the dumps that are created in the BSOD process to find out what caused it :)
The BSOD process is a system of Windows that prevents (more) corruption when detected, in all situations I've seen none was caused by a bug in Windows, not even in the TP version of Windows.

Hi again. I just wanted to report that the problem has been resolved. After removing Intel's driver base for my wireless adapter and install the drivers through Windows Update about 5 weeks ago the computer hasn't had any problems since.

Thanks for the help and thanks the links for learning how to analyze BSOD's. I will be marking this threat solved.
