Can't get video from insider.foxnews.com - Maybe tied to Kaspersky Int

I see a lot of people have this problem - but I can't find a solution. I have no problem with video from any other source. However, I occasionally don't receive "stills" in my Gmail. It might have something to do with Kaspersky Internet Protection - but I can't verify that either. One OP said he installed Adobe Flash Player Square - but I haven't been able to find a place to download it. Wondering if anyone on this forum has solved the problem.

    Hi Nisko.

Is this happening over all browsers, and if so which ones, or a specific browser?

Maybe a better question, have you tried a browser with no extensions added?

Sorry, it took so long to reply - holidays, you know. I have the same problem with Chrome and Microsoft Edge (I haven't looked lately but will check again today). No, I haven't tried watching these videos with all extensions and add-ons disabled. Great idea! Is there a shortcut to disabling on Chrome and Edge and Firefox? I also have Firefox installed - but haven't been using it. I should try the same thing with that browser - today! Thanks for replying.

Chrome is quick just in the settings. Three dots, more tools, extensions. Toggle off. A few clicks and your done.

While you are in Settings, upper left corner, click three bars, click advance, Privacy and Security, Content settings. I have mind set not to play flash unless I approve but maybe they are making it a default. It is supposed to ask but I know that sometimes it doesn't.

Tried each extension one by one and I still can't view the video. However, occasionally, the video works. I'm lost on this one.

While this might be a little revealing, the next one that doesn't play post and I will try.

Did you review the setting in "Content". There is one there for Flash. I have set to ask but occasionally it doesn't ask and it doesn't play.

You can retry with Flash set to always play.

Post a link, if you wish and I will try.

I just turned off protection from Kaspersky Internet Protection and I can now see the videos. However, I have no idea which option in Kaspersky to modify.

I also have a problem with videos (with audio) starting unexpectedly - and I have no idea what tab is generating the audio. Maybe there's an extension that would tell me that?

Thanks for the feedback. It's late - I'll look for the switches in Kaspersky tomorrow - and install the beta of Chrome (if it's ready).

That article is old. You should have the functionality already.
