That would be a solution if my "Location" looked like torre's, but unfortunately it looks like the one I posted. Perhaps the question is how to get it to add the "set default".

I tried the manual geo-thingy, but it didn't do anything useful.

Would be best to update to the current version of Win10. (1709 16299.98)
To find out which version of Windows your PC is running, press
    Windows logo key
    +
    R
    , type
    winver
    , then select
    OK

Torre is referring to the Windows Location Privacy settings in Control Panel. I don't think Chrome actually uses the Windows Location service since I have it disabled yet Chrome is still able to get my location.

It looks like the Manual Geolocation extension only works if the site uses Google Location Services to determine your location. If the site uses some other method then you're probably out of luck.

Sign into Chrome and add your 'Home' location in the Dashboard.

I turned Google location on in the dashboard and put a location in Windows control panel. Neither one helped.
I also tried Edge and IE and they both gave the same results as Chrome.

Beginning to think this isn't going to improve; but I appreciate all your efforts.

I have .64. Clicking on your link takes me to an update site, which thanks me for updating, but doesn't change anything.

Strange. Should take you to the site below. Update may also be available by clicking Windows Update in the Settings Menu or google Windows Media Creation Tool.
