Firefox 57 No longer logs in automatcally logs in to this forum

As far as I can remember, Firefox logged into this and other sites I repeatedly visit when I typed in their URL's. Now under FF 57 I have to manually log into each one. When I do so my login info, such as user name and passwords, appears in the appropriate box but I still have to click 'Log in' to do so.

Did 57 change something to cause this to happen? And how can I set things back to get an automatic login?

Assuming you have the 'Remember passwords options check as in screenshot attached and 'remember me' on the sites near the login, it may be because you never had Firefox sync account which you may have used to initially set up FF57. Check that you are signed in by hitting the 3 line menu in upper R corner and your signed-in account appears at top of list that incl's the Options where you can check vs my screenshot.

mine is good. but noted a afew times asking to sign in - why - whats to sign into????? Whats a FF account? Why should I need it?

If you want to sync your settings you have to sign in with an account in order to do that.

If you want to keep your setting and have the ability to use Firefox on Multiple devices it is in your best interest to do it.
