I don't want to get everyones hopes up but my mail and calendar alerts are working now and oddly enough MS pushed out a windows update today
    Are your notifications still working?

Mine are still very intermittent, not noticed any improvements with the latest updates

I would like to chime in here. My mail live tile (and calendar, and people for that matter) is completely DoA. In fact, I don't remember ever even seeing a notification of any kind in the action center either. Also, no matter what the settings are, emails have to be manually downloaded too. Luckily I didn't update my laptop to win 10 yet, but still slightly annoyed because the main reason I updated my desktop from 7 was supposedly improved email / social management. Oh well, I guess I have to put the audible email notifications back on in my phone...

Welcome to Windows Ten Forums, kattes. :)

Yes, a bit of a nuisance at this time. MS should have an update on this soon.

Is that a Windows phone you have?

Yup, it is a windows phone. Main reason I was anxious to give win 10 a try is because my laptop and phone work really well together even though I never really liked 8.1 for the laptop. Anyhow, I guess it's just teething pains, otherwise win 10 definately seems like an improvement.. By the way, I just received my first action center notification ever -from this forum :)

I set up Gmail as my primary email for the Windows 10 Mail program, and the Action Center consistently displays new messages for me.

In fact, it's so reliable that I eliminated my Gmail Notifier from my Windows 7 days.

I just want to give another perspective from someone who has a good experience with this type of setup.

I understand. They work perfectly on my 8.1 based stuff too, so I expect this to be no differend down the road. I'd just hope the cure would get here soon... Anyhow, I will probably try a clean install of win 10 too, just out of interest. I only did the media creation tool version of clean install.

I want to post I found a solution to my PC EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS while working on a different problem. Can I ask everyone with PC Mail App notification problems to read my thread and decide for yourself if you want to try this procedure. Be sure to read post #8.

Thank you and if this helps your problem please post here and let others know.

I have now done the repair install

notifications always worked initially after a restart so need to give it a couple of hours to see what happens
I do now have a live tile for mail, this has never worked before

    so far its looking promising

Ok, good. We shall see if it's the app itself, for which I don't think it is for it seems to work, or a service that fails, for which I think it is. I'm thinking that is why it for it works for some and not others.

I've just upgraded my 8.1 to 10. I'm going to fresh install it soon.
