Google Chrome keeps becoming Default Browser when computer restarts

Every time I restart my computer, Google Chrome is defaulted, and not Firefox. I always set Firefox as the default. Is there a condition that changes this all the time?

Are you setting Firefox as default through Firefox or through windows default programs?

I have tried both, using Windows Default Programs, as well as Firefox options, it doesn't stick.

2 reason I wont use Google, Chrome wants to make changes, other is they been caught stealing peoples information and selling to 3rd parties, and Chrome has a hidden program that accesses your mic. that has been on the news.

Chrome uses several tasks and services, which might be the cause.
Just uninstall Chrome and use Chrome Portable version instead.

They all do it.....some just make it harder to find and turn off all that crap off.

BTW...Do you use a cell phone.....then it's there to. Everyone of those apps you install you have to agree to all of it or none of it. If you say yes....then they have access. If you say no....can't use the app.

#5 Why is that a 'problem' if you don't have Chrome.
I use Chrome and have an HP Printer but have never got that message.
It is in the Chrome web store, if you want it. Not forced upon you.

The Mic setting is not hidden in Chrome it is in Settings > Content, along with a load of other settings.

The problem is your settings, either for an HP Printer, or in Windows, or in Chrome.

Nope, got rid of phone back in 2002.
I looked in Regedit, Google is in there in the com.microsoft.browsercore. it wont delete from registry.

Use Revo Uninstaller and do the advanced option.
