    Just fixed the error!!!

Try this command from an elevated command prompt (administrator)

    type - SFC /scannow

It fixed some corrupt files from the install and emails now send!
Yes - that fix worked for me on two separate laptops. I'm most grateful.

A big thank you Stuart for taking the time and trouble to share your solution and enabling old wrinklies like myself to get re-connected to the outside world.

How to right click the Command Programme

Did you right click the Command programme and click run as Administrator? As it is your own laptop and if you are the only user you are the administrator.
Just upgraded to Win10 from 7 & I've got the same problem as the rest of this thread ie unable to send emails in Outlook. I've tried to follow the advice & got stuck at point of trying to run SFC /Scannow as administrator. Took me a while to find how to do it (Windows 10) so pointer for anyone getting stuck like me. To run the command, you need to go to the Icon in bottom left of screen, ie in the taskbar. Click "All Apps". Scroll down to "Windows System" & click it. You then see "Command Prompt" which you can right click to Run as Administrator.

Even better news - SFC ran & has fixed the problem. Now on to the next Win 10 Problem - MS Money not working!

Since upgrading to Windows 10 I cannot send email from Outlook 2013. Mail stays in the Outbox, and I get: Error 0x800CCC13 Cannot connect to the network

    • I've run ScanPST and fixed some errors
    • Tried starting Outlook in Safe Mode (Run | Outlook /safe)
    • Turned off Windows Firewall

    Still can't send.

However, doing a test Send and Receive from the Outlook Account Settings did work.
I am using outlook2010 and have no problems. I works perfectly for me.

Brilliant help. It worked for me. I have been awake all night worrying about this, now this morning, solved in 20 mins. Looking at the log file, perhaps this has also fixed other potential problems. Smile Smile Smile Derek

    - SFC /scannow cleared the problem for me

I'd the problem on my laptop and desktop - both clean installed with Windows 10 and running Office 2010. I'd tried disabling add-ins, starting in safe mode, running as administrator, creating a new profile and running repair from installation disk to no avail.

Thanks for this Stuart - worked a charm on both PCs.
