Here is another thing to try if you are still having Outlook problems..

    Click start
    Command prompt (ADMIN)
    Type netsh press return
    Type winsock reset press return
    Restart windows.

SFC /scannow does not always fix it.......This worked for me..

    Len:)
Been on Windows 10 for 3 weeks , this one fixed my Outlook 2013 sending/receiving problems.

    Thanks !!

Just upgraded to Win10 from 7 & I've got the same problem as the rest of this thread ie unable to send emails in Outlook. I've tried to follow the advice & got stuck at point of trying to run SFC /Scannow as administrator. Took me a while to find how to do it (Windows 10) so pointer for anyone getting stuck like me. To run the command, you need to go to the Icon in bottom left of screen, ie in the taskbar. Click "All Apps". Scroll down to "Windows System" & click it. You then see "Command Prompt" which you can right click to Run as Administrator.

Even better news - SFC ran & has fixed the problem. Now on to the next Win 10 Problem - MS Money not working!

BRILLIANT! thanks Nelsonseye & Stuart. email now sending mails again.

Thanks Stuart3380, just tried that and it says I must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility. This is my personal laptop, so do I somehow need to log in as the administrator (Thanks so much for your help by the way! :) )
SFC /scannow worked for me as well.
Normally this command won't fix all errors in previous versions of Windows but in Win10 it said it had fixed them all so well pleased.

    Just fixed the error!!!

Try this command from an elevated command prompt (administrator)

    type - SFC /scannow

It fixed some corrupt files from the install and emails now send!

Great! It worked for me. I was having the same issue since upgrading to windows 10.

My full Exchange email was working fine, but the additional IMAP mailboxes were generating the above error.

    This fix worked.
