Looks good KRL - exactly what I need. Much appreciated.

But all you Mozilla gurus reading this, please develop a system to allow us to read existing and save new scrapbook items in 57 - one of Firefox's most useful features.
You need to contact the Developer of that extension. It is up to him/her to make it compatible and not Mozilla.:)

I have already contacted Gomita. OK so Mozilla can't replicate it exactly, but I think saving pages is so important, that a scrapbook-like inclusion in the core program would be a great idea.

Mozilla just makes The Plain Vanilla Browser. There is a free program called Screenspresso that will do the same thing

    You can get it here:

Thanks Josey - it takes screenshots, but does not appear to be able to store the whole webpage which may extend to many screens. Screenshots are anyway easy to save by snipping.

I installed 57 today. Disaster, No Scrapbook, Tabmixplus etc. Luckily it is possible to go back to 56 by downloading from FileHippo.com - Download Free Software or search for "firefox 56 download" which I have done - everything back to normal. Until key add-ins are written across, there is NO WAY I will move to 57. Bad deal Mozilla.
Instead of using an unsupported release, you can use Firefox ESR.

I am surprised that there are so many users that are shocked by the changes to firefox. These have been known to be happening and the consequences explained for a long time. A little research would have made users aware of what was happening and the add-ons that would not be re-written and so measures could be taken to find alternatives either to Firefox, the add ons, or the way a user works.

The is not likely to be any "Fixing" done by Mozilla as they consider the changes to be Fixing serious issues with recent versions of Firefox itself.

I did see the creators of TabMixPlus asking for financial support to make the required re-writes viable, It would appear that Users have not thought it worthy of this support so they cannot complain if it does not get updated
