    Passwords not being deleted.

Since the Fall Creators Update my passwords are not being deleted when I delete Browsing History with all boxes ticked except Tracking Protection. I am using IE 11. Any thoughts please? Even the password for this forum was retained.

    Hi judesman.

If you have all boxes ticked I assume that means you have a tick mark in the very top box, Preserve Favorites.

Could you please remove that tick mark and try it again.

Thank you Ken. No that doesn't make any difference but I have always had the top box ticked and passwords have always been deleted before the update.

If you type Credentials into Cortana I believe it brings up an app. In the Credential Manager there is Web Credentials. They may be located here.

Reading different things on google. This site seems to describe it well.

    Nirsoft has some interesting tools.

There are a few ways to remove see Internet Explorer 11 Stored Passwords - View and Remove

Cool. Same place I referenced, credential manager. The standard delete doesn't work.

None of this makes any sense. So, I log into a number of my sites and save the password. Only one appears under Credentials, don't know why the others don't appear including the password for this Forum. I delete the one appearing under Credentials and it disappears from Credentials but the site in question is still logged in.

Previously I could delete saved passwords from Delete Browsing History and all my saved passwords would be removed and I would have to log in again. Something has changed in Delete Browsing History.

With my passwords saved I see that in CCleaner there isn't any record of saved passwords under Analyse and CCleaner isn't removing them either. It is almost as if there isn't any record of passwords on the computer except for the one that appears under Credentials.

Sites also use cookies to log you in. So if you click remember me then you don't have to save passwords.

I wonder are you using a Microsoft account to sign in? If so your passwords are likely in the cloud. Just happens this member posted a screen shot which shows this is possible as Passwords are a "Sync" option.

Sync settings annoyance! What are the sync'd settings?

No Ken, that doesn't make any difference. I wonder if anyone else who has Fall Creators has noticed a difference.

What I don't understand is that I remain logged into a number of web sites yet none of them appear under Credentials in Control Panel.
