Status update: After using Edge on Android for over 1 year, I have realized it's my main browser. I've completely forgot I also have Google Chrome and Samsung Internet.
For me Edge on Android is the best browser.
Good morning, Slice.
Is Edge "out of beta" on Google yet? I have a new 10" Kindle coming today, and am wondering if I can/should set up Edge on it. Firefox is my browser of choice, and I know it can be used on Androids. Still, I'm inclined to test Edge to see how it works with the Kindle.
As an aside, some Microsoft Office apps are free on 10.1" or smaller tablets, so this would be a great time to test both to see how far they've come since I last used a tablet.
Hello there @Wynona
I'm not quite sure about the beta status, since I'm a beta tester, and can't see the public version of Edge for Android in the Play store. The versions I've been running has however been very stable.
If I were you, I'd install it along with all MS office apps, to try out how well it works for you. You can always remove them later if you don't like them.
I have only one issue, and that is the bookmarks manager and sync. But that issue is the same on all Edge versions and MS does not seem to understand how important a well functioning bookmark manager is. At least they have not done much in order to make it reliable.
Yup!
I like Edge for Android and Samsung Internet Browser Beta
Oh, I see they have Samsung Internet beta and official separate from each other. Cool! Will install straight away.
Interesting, Samsung Internet is at least 20% faster for WebGL compared to Edge on Android.
Correction: This applies only to certain WebGL applications.
