Hello Arc,
There not a way to do so from within the Windows 10 Mail app. Only to add or remove them.

However, if you go to outlook.com online and create a new folder there, it will be available to add in the Mail app afterwards.
How odd, I really thought I was going mad when I couldn't find a way to do it, as I was sure there must be a way. I wonder if they've just overlooked it?
Not mature, I think it's barely conceived. Seriously, I'm dumbfounded, I've just tried to empty the deleted items folder (which doesn't have a right-click option to do so either) and also found CTRL + A to 'Select All' doesn't even work...
Then to top it off, as Windows 8 got everyone in the habit of dragging to close the Mail app, I've just dragged the stupid thing behind my auto hide taskbar.

How disappointing that you can't add subfolders to favorites folders. It's also very strange.
In my GMAIL account I have several folders I've added and one in particular has 5 subfolders on Gmail web. They show up in the list of folders in Mail and they even appear as subfolders on the list where I can add or delete folders. I have been exploring Mail again and that's a feature I really need. Sorry if this is the wrong thread. Thank you.
It's easy to create a new folder in Windows 10 Mail: click the folder icon (folders) on the left side, and you'll see a list of all the folders you currently have, with All Folders at the top, with a plus sign (+). Click the plus sign, and it will let you create and name a new folder.
To REname a folder takes several steps: Create a new folder as above and give it the name you want an old folder to be changed to. Now open the old folder and click the icon at the top right that has two check-marks and some lines. That will give you check-boxes on all the messages inside that folder. Click the check-box at the top left, next to the name of the folder, and that will select ALL of the messages in the folder. Now click the Move icon that just appeared at the top right, and you'll see a list of all of the folders you currently have, including the new one you created just a moment ago, with "Move to ..." at the top. Choose the folder you just created, and all of the contents of the old folder will be moved into that new folder. Finally, click the folder icon on the left (Folders), right-click the old folder name you no longer want, and click delete in the menu that pops up.
That'll do 'er.
Thanks so much. Easy when you know how...lol
Much appreciated.
It works this way: Go online to your mail account (GMail in my case), open your Trash/Deleted Items folder there and click the Empty Trash Now command.ARC1020 said:
When you re-open your linked Windows 10 Mail app and open your Trash/Deleted Items folder there, click the Sync this view (arrows forming a circle) icon, and your folder will -- give it a sec -- update and show you an empty list space (no mail in Trash).
That'll do 'er. No big deal.
