    Mail not adding email properly.

So in a nutshell I had to reformat due to a booting issue. I know my email address, password, pop3 ports and mail servers. I can't get it to work again. I downloaded Windows Live Mail for Essentials 2012 and it freaking works just fine but Windows 10 Mail won't?

It was literally working before I reformatted. So if I have a POP3 Email with incoming and outgoing ports where do I put this information in?

My mailing address is an insightbb account. GMAIL works on it just fine but this won't. Please help me.

I was using the wrong password....I am incredibly stupid.

Add or Delete Account in Windows 10 Mail app Windows 10 Browsers Email Tutorials

Possibly para 11. Have you managed to configure your server details in Mail?

Note- I don't use the Mail app myself.

Perhaps if you can post some appropriately edited screenshots someone might be able to advise further.

Under the mail app the port settings are added at the end of the server settings.
    Eg: pop3.virginmedia.com:995:1 smtp.virginmedia.com:465:1

Click on Windows Mail...Accounts....Add Account....Other Account Pop Imap (in your case).....enter e-mail address and password for the account or accounts that you wish to add...that's it.....no need to enter server settings

You don't put in any server ports, just incoming & outgoing server names appear, at least they do on mine. You may have to fiddle about with Authentication and SSL tick boxes.
It may take sometime to think about it, and you may need several goes but eventually it will work.

Mine is a very old ISP provided Email service. But it does work (muddles thru eventually...).

I use Windows 10 Mail App with 6 Accounts.
You do see server ports with Gmail, Yahoo Mail, but not with Outlook Mail and my ISP provided one.

Well no matter what I do I cannot get this to work.

For the sake of this my e-mail is: notmyname@insightbb.com with a password of "notmypassword"

    The POP3 information is: [Incoming] mail.insightbb.com [Port: 995] [outgoing] mail.insightbb.com [Port: 465]

I know for a FACT this is my information and it worked before I reformatted but I simply CANNOT get this working.

With this basic information I have the email in question working flawlessly in Windows Live Mail but not a modern cutting edge Windows Mail??

I changed incoming and outgoing to mail.insightbb.com like it is in my phone and Windows Live Mail which recieve no problem. It's syncing and saying fetching mail maybe I need to let it run for a long time?

Nope it stopped...what the **** Microsoft.

I contacted MS Support and got someone who is obviously stationed somewhere other than America. But they said in a nut shell "I understand your problem, we are not Email Support"

So I simply told them it was working about 4 days ago before I re-installed Windows 10. But now it doesn't and that they need to add ****ing server ports to their Email client.

Open Windows Mail....select the account under Accounts you wish to connect....then click on rotating figure as shown to synchronise.
Prior to doing the above.....Have you followed my instructions as in post #4?

Try these settings which I’ve found:
    POP
    Username: Your username
    Server hostname: mail.insightbb.com
    Server port: 110
    Authentication: Password
    SSL/TLS: No

    SMTP
    Username: Your username
    Server hostname: mail.insightbb.com
    Server port: 465
    Authentication: Password
    SSL/TLS: Yes

I’ve been searching for you & many sites seem to say that insightbb has closed, http://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5...ork/td-p/10787

Um, looks like you should have changed sometime ago to Time Warner.

I am aware that insight was bought by TWC and turned into Spectrum but they grandfathered in those accounts. I still get emails for it on my iPhone and Windows Live Mail (Yes from WLE 2012 which was designed for Vista/7 is working better than a modern Windows 10 Mail app)

Also Windows 10 Mail doesn't have an option to add port numbers. That is another one of the biggest issues I have with this.
