problems with Firefox and Chrome

I may have found a way to get rid of the overflow menu. If you click on customize, and then look for any items in the overflow menu in the top right corner and drag them out of the overflow menu, the overflow menu will disappear again.

It also seems like if you right click on the show history button, theres an option called remove from toolbar, but its greyed out for some reason, so you cant click on it.

Im still looking for a way to get rid of the page actions button.

@Callender I get a message that says invalid attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator when i click on your attachments.

RE: Firefox automatic updates and download. You can disable that and do manual checks.

Enable "menu bar" by right clicking a blank part of the top of the window.

Then in Tools> Options> General configure update behaviour. If you want to set to "never check for updates" you can still initiate a manual check via "Help" > "About Firefox"

I reckon you need to make sure that you are not in private browsing mode to be able to select the option without it being greyed out.

You can add the following code to your UserChrome.css file to hide the button, (and hover on it for 2 seconds when you need it):

Nice tweak but I think that you are wasting your time as OP doesn't want to mess about with .css

Or just use the Alt key, that temporarily brings up the menu bar for a one-time use if it's currently hidden. Works in other browsers too, such as IE.

Im sorry, but i think you misunderstood what i meant. I dont want firefox to never check for updates, i want firefox to download and install updates automatically, without notifying me.

Im not in private browsing mode though, but the option is still greyed out. Im going to try your addon and get back with the results.
