You can back up your profile yourself without any outside aids. I use this method to transfer my FF profile to any new machine. All my machines now have the same profile.

    • Copy all the files and folders from your FF profile, these are in the folder %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\rhyt6odm.default ('rhyt6odm' could be any other random name).
    • Clean install FF and let it create a new default profile, then close FF.
    • Delete the files and folders in this default profile and replace them with your saved copies.
    • Start FF and it will use your restored profile.

I just tried Mozbackup and it works. Only proviso is that it has to be started before starting FF.

I have had this issue with firefox for years, even if i visit a completely harmless website. Its really annoying and i would also like to know a way of disabling this message.

Hi Gerry. If what you are getting is the "Warning: Potential security risk ahead" type of screen from Firefox (see top picture), what you need to do is find out the code for the reason the website is being blocked by Firefox. To get the code, click in Advanced, doing that expands the screen and shows the code on the left side of the screen (bottom picture).

You need that code. There are different codes and each code has a separate solution. For example, the code in the example I am using is "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER". So, now that you have the code, search Google, and you ll find that this code gets solved by toggling preference "security.enterprise_roots" from false to true in about:config .Thats it.

Warning: If you are confident that the site is clean, you trust it, you know the site well (you say is for your work) and you have good effective security, then make the change. Otherwise, perhaps is best not to make the change.
    .........
Because of your description of the Warning you are getting, I think you are getting the one that has the yellow border around the Warning (above) but if its not, then it should be easier to solve the "issue". Try this, open Firefox Options>Privacy & Security, and untick the 3 blocks under "Deceptive content and dangerous software protection". See picture below. By unticking the 3 blocks, you wont get the Red warning screens from Firefox.

    Again, be careful. HTH.

Cerawy, you should read this link. It would be a bad idea to disable all the yellow warnings at once, so, as far as I know, it cant be done. You have to deal with each code separately. Some of the websites were you ll get those warning could be bad sites, ready to steal your credentials, passwords, your files, etc.

I don't know why you are getting many of this warnings, it should be very rare to get one of this things. I suggest you don't start disabling them left and right.

I just want to clarify that i dont get this warning a lot, but i get it sometimes if im visiting a harmless website. I want to disable this message completely.

I should probably also point out, that a lot of the old issues with firefox seems to have come back again lately.
