What has improved a lot is Opera. Its my standby browser but at present Vivaldi is main one.
Well, i think firefox is a good browser, but they are terrible at listening to their users. I sent a request with the list of problems from this thread months ago.

So far, they havent fixed any of them. It also seems that firefox is going back to some of its old problems, such as crashing when fast forwarding a video on youtube.

    Hi,
Yeah it's probably third party cookie blocking which states will often break websites.

    Try changing preference to true:

    security.mixed_content.block_display_content

Although mine is actually set to false.

I have a big problem here, and it is really annoying me, I visit sites that I know are safe and sound, yet Firefox in its infinite wisdom keeps blocking them and will not let me add an exception to them. can I get round this as it is now making me unable to do my work, I was thinking of going back to version 56 to where I had complete control, so I can work, I am really sick of Firefox telling me who I can visit and whom I cannot.

I like Firefox but sadly they are pushing me out to another browser, they don't listen to customer feedback at all, can anyone advise me please ? Also Mozbackup no longer works as it is now defunct, anyone know of any alternative please.

    Many thanks for any help.

You can back up your profile yourself without any outside aids. I use this method to transfer my FF profile to any new machine. All my machines now have the same profile.

    • Copy all the files and folders from your FF profile, these are in the folder %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\rhyt6odm.default ('rhyt6odm' could be any other random name).
    • Clean install FF and let it create a new default profile, then close FF.
    • Delete the files and folders in this default profile and replace them with your saved copies.
    • Start FF and it will use your restored profile.
