Audio is out of sync on browsers
Hi. I hope someone can help me.
For about 8-12 weeks, I have been having a problem with watching videos online and streaming videos. It doesn't matter which site I am on, Youtube, Liveleak, CNN (or any of the news sites), streaming live sites, the audio goes out of sync within 15-20secs after starting to watch.
Initially I thought this was a browser problem, so I switched from Firefox to Chrome. I noticed the same problem there too so I switched to Opera, then Vivaldi and finally Edge, to no avail, the audio still went out of sync after 15 or so seconds. The whole thing cycles round and is synced after about 2-3 minutes, depending on the length of the video. This is only for videos. If I am watching a movie from Amazon Prime, or some other streaming media, then the sync goes out and stays out. There is a difference of 1 - 3 secs between the audio and the video, meaning, I hear something before seeing the cause of the sound, ie, if I'm watching a cricket match then I hear the bat hitting the ball then a couple of secs later I see the batsman hit the ball but the audio is then silent.
I thought it might have to do with having an out of date flash driver, so I updated it, but that didn't help. I deleted and re-installed the browsers and that didn't help.
Here is the thing. I run a dual boot system, Windows 10 Pro 64bit and OpenSuse Linux. When I boot up on Linux, I do not have that problem at all.
My conclusion is that the problem lies with windows. So I was hoping that someone knows something about this or even has a solution for this.
My windows system is: Windows 10 Pro 64bit ver. 1703 build 15063.413. I have two HDD's, each 2TB, and have 16GB RAM, with a Intel Core i7 processor.
Thanks.
