Is there a dark mode/theme for it with the new version?

    Hi folks
I think the problem with this email client is that the FREE version is rather restrictive -- at least 3 features (or lack of) I find rather restrictive -- 1) only 2 email accounts allowed. 2) Limited to 1 device, 3) send mail later only allowed in paid versions.

The cheapest paid version costs around 45 - 50 EUR which seems quite expensive for an email client - the more expensive version is around 250 EUR.

After all you can register yourself on a hosting domain with included email (usually Roundcube which works perfectly well as an email client) for as little as 5 - 10 EUR a year on some sites. The advantage also of a domain is that your email can be accessed on ANY device (it's an Internet address after all -- yourmail@yourdomain.zz)

Just logon to your email address via any favorite browser --the roundcube screen comes up - no ads etc -- simple , convenient, and acessible from phones, tablets, computers (Windows, Macs, Linux). Send mail also works - you can be in an internet cafe etc -- some emails can't be sent if you use an ISP's assigned email address when not logged on to that ISP. This method isn't dependent on any ISP.

I'm not against 3rd party developers -- they should be encouraged but sometimes their pricing just goes a bit bonkers (IMO) when there are other cheaper (and again IMO) more convenient solutions around.

    Cheers

Here's the comparison chart of all three and pricing. The pricing is a one and done purchase, good for life. I used to use Incredimail......loved that software. I liked is so much I bought it. Sadly after 20 years, they shut down. IDK why and you can't even use the software anymore.

I use the built in Mail App but it's just lacking for my taste. So I'll be looking for something that excites my taste buds and if I have to pay for it, so be it. No different then buying extra security protection....ie Malwarebytes or Hitman Pro.

    Hi there
MB is really not worth it on home computers any more --note I only say 3rd party Anti Virus products are not necessary any more on HOME computers --not commercial sites, cloud servers, work / office lan's.

As for email clients - like all things YMMV -- yes there is excellent paid for software out there of course -- I'm happy for Office --I know there's a few quite reasonable clones out there but as a big user of EXCEL (power user too) I have yet to see any spreadsheet type software that makes me want to dump EXCEL -- for other users the alternatives are probably worth looking at.

For email I need a really robust scheme as I do some e-commerce as well so the Server domain solution works really great.

I'm also setting up at home on a Linux system my own mail server (postfix etc) with Roundcube and then letting the domain act as the smtp / imap internet transport -- nice learning thing.

When I've got that working it's a great way of ensuring control over email from your own Internet -- e.g visitors on my network etc can use their own email but it goes through my server --these days with knowlegable kids around some sort of control protects YOU as well as them !!!

I'm surprised a lot more parents at home don't investigate the possibility if kids are using the home Internet wifi for emails etc. - You can't obviously control / monitor usage if they are using their own mobiles connected via 4/5g = but then that's THEIR bills and Responsibility --absolves you from mis-use / porn sites etc etc.

If you like their product and does what you want --fine -- I was just saying that for what it does it seems overpriced IMO.

    Cheers

I suppose "The Customer is always right .... "

If people like it and think its worth the money --fine by me -- but like a lot of these things there are (fortunately) other alternatives that for some might well be worth exploring too !!! - Competition isn't usually a bad thing.
