Bob, this is another new one to me. Highlighting the URL bar? Based on the amount of responses to your question, it appears no one knows. But I'm not sure what you even mean by highlighting the URL bar. I take it, it is where you simply type for an site address or even a search. If I'm following you correctly, as said, I've not heard of it. All I know is when I click in it, it highlights to a nice, refreshing, calming to look at blue. Isn't that delightful?
If you visit a site that has a string along with it the main domain is darker (I guess saying highlight is wrong). It lets you know what site you are on. Notice the text/info after the darker domain is a lighter shade (Using Chrome here).

Understood. I've been using computers since 1992 and never noticed that before. As you can tell, I'm very observant.

Ha! No worries. I like to know the exact domain I'm on. I've see phishing scams where the target domain is in the string, but the actual fake domain is hidden after it. Vivaldi (when I used it) showed the entire string as one shade with no identifying domain marks.

Well now that you mention it, that makes total sense. As to your question, I don't have a clue. Hopefully someone else with a bit more knowledge of this Browser will stumble in and give the answer.
