    Chrome

Available on all my platforms and because I sign in items I bookmark on one device are available on all. Works on iOS, Windows and Mac, (and Android and Ubuntu)

Bookmarking and filing by folders is dead easy and a management tool to re-org. Something you seem to use extensively. Another benefit of signing in, they are kept and backed up in cloud. On a new machine, sign in and they are there.

Zoom can be set by web-page, lots of extension, apps. Content setting can be fined tune, I don't let scripts run without my okay, browsing history can be deleted in increments, like in the last hour, past day, beginning of time.

You can set up to start on Home pages or even have it open the pages you had open when last used.

    Ken

Edit: and a very simple "Reset".

Edge still unfortunately blows even to this day, but it's getting better...

I still use it a bit as I love the concept and where it's heading, but it frustrates me to tears still and needs more polishing before its "really good".

In the mean time, it's still Chrome for me for most things if I don't want any stress and hassle.

Edge is not a good browser.
It's fine App in the making, but, it's no where near the potential of a integrated client browser, in the traditional sense.

Edge is starting to run ahead of all the others as it is now Chromium based so you have the best of all worlds, with the full Microsoft Security to boot. I am an insider and it is becoming a fantastic browser, gone is Internet explorer however it is still there if you really need it for your old apps, just not by default.

Most of Firefoxes apps and Chromes apps now work in Edge with more coming on board daily, the browser is updated daily so you see all the new features straight away, I now have all my favourite addons installed including FVD and Everhelper I have lost nothing at all, but I have gained the internet the way I want it, it great, and they listen to us every day, bringing in new features into Edge Chromium.

I've been using Chrome primarily for the last 2 years but before that I used Firefox for a number of years, and now I also use Firefox and Edge Dev, the new ChromEdge. They all 3 run the 8 browser extensions that I use.

I doubt Mozilla would be able to compete with Chromium in the long run

As much as i would like to prefer to use the new Microsoft Edge with Chrome base is although it's excellent in all other respects it suffers from Chrome's one defect...Chrome does NOT have as good a web page rendering as Firefox does...On Firefox, text is clearer and sharper and more of a "black look" where as on Edge w/Chrome, it's a weaker looking grey look...Even photos look slightly better on Firefox...

Interestingly, i took a look at the current Edge and it is comparable to Firefox in quality in that regard but i know that it's getting re-placed by the new Edge w/Chrome eventually....So, i guess i will have to stay with Firefox as my default browser...So much easier on the eyes...

I even read a discussion about this from 3 years ago...Chrome has apparently done nothing to change it since that time....a shame...
Firefox has dramatically better text rendering than Chrome : firefox

Interesting comment, and I know exactly what you mean. Text rendering can make or break a browser for long term use. There is however one browser that still has (to my tired eyes) a far better text rendering than even Firefox.......

    ....unfortunately that browser is IE.

    @ Bree...thanks

Until i read those reddit forum postings from 3 years ago i thought i was maybe the only one that thought so, since no one ever seems to mention it! (including microsoft or google....lol)...And yes, i know what you mean about IE but unfortunately it is going away... Even the current MS Edge is better in that regard (because it doesn't have the chrome base) but that's going to be going away also...

WOW. That is so interesting to learn. I guess until edge fixes its rendering I should use firefox. But I keep hearing from proponents of classic edge that some features of EdgeHTML may never make it to Chromium..
