    Welcome to the forum !

The first answer you will receive here is that due to security issues many have chosen another email provider besides Yahoo. However, I have 2 Yahoo accts and have not encountered problems.

Does the issue only occur when typing emails ? Is there any problems when you type website addresses ?

    - When using IE to access Yahoo and problems occur, refresh the page in hopes to eliminate buffering/stalling.

    - Clear IE cache. (Internet Options/Delete)

    - Using Edge browser, type yahoo.com in the address bar. Access your email by clicking on Mail at the top of the page.

    - Also, after you click on Mail at the top of page, put your cursor on the Y at top of page and left click. You may then drag the Y to your taskbar for quick access to mail.

    - You may want to download Firefox or Chrome to see if any difference.

Let us know if there is a difference.

thanks so much torre! I tried everything you said to do & still have the same problems. yes, I have problems typing into the search box, pulling up files, adding an emoticon/emoji, etc... almost all the functions stall & buffers excessively. I think I will have to either change my email provider or change browsers. ty in advance for any suggestions.

I think we are dealing with a communication issue here, not a browser or service provider.

I assume you are connected wirelessly although I see from spec you have a desktop. Of course that doesn't mean anythig today, everything is wireless.

I would like you, if you have not already, to established a wired connection. Then in address bar go to speedtest.net. Once it is all loaded there will be a "Begin" to start the test. Please avoid all the other tests and offers to speed up your PC. The "Begin" will be centerish on screen. Please post your download and up load speeds.

Could I also ask what Anti Virus products have you got installed. You said this was new, lots come with "Bundled" offers.

That is okay. Now do you run wired or wireless. If Wireless could you please rerun test. It will not be as good.

When you say deleted do you mean you uninstalled? Did you use Windows uninstall through Control panel, Programs, Uninstall?

Just to be 100% I would suggest the McAfee removal tool. There are removal instructions and a tool, MCPR, on this site to totally remove McAfee. Apologize for size of link, checked it twice. You can find yourself. Web address should start with McAfee

In your response you said you had issues searching and pulling up files. Not sure exactly what you mean by pulling up files in the context of a browser. Could you explain please?
