How are you getting that entry to even come up? It won't even show for me.

I was able to get DuckDuckGo to work as my default search engine. Although I had to fiddle with it.
Put google.c*o*m for your own region on the Favorites Bar for a while and it may creep in there.
(asterisks are only so it doesn't come up a link)

This isn't Microsoft's doing. Google finally added OpenSearch links in their headers, which allows you to add them as a search host.

    Hello CB,

Q1) I've had no luck with setting to Google yet either.

Q2) In Microsoft Edge, you have the "Startup page", and a separate home page for the "Home button" only.

    Hope this helps, :)

Gearing everything to push us all towards the MS products rather than provide what WE want is so old school. It was so simple before to set my Homepage and voila; done. Now I need to ask the MS experts how to do it. What rubbish. First things I notice give me the bad taste about Win10; first this and then downloads that don't provide a Save As capability. More rubbish. Good grief; this is 2015 and we are reverting to the old crud again.

Hello Braunejl, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You can change the search engine easily now.

It's not "Save as", but you can change the default downloads folder.
