    I've even ran into some Microsoft sites/pages that didn't recognize Edge, had to use IE.

    That would be the Update Catalog? That's because it required ActiveX which (quite rightly) isn't included in Edge (or any other browser of worth except IE). I use the past tense 'required' because Microsoft have rewritten that site to remove the ActiveX components.

    As for browsers, I use Edge, IE and Firefox interchangeably. They all work just fine for me, there's little or no difference in performance I can see.

    I do have Java, but I don't think that's the problem because there is nothing wrong when I make a new local account. Java doesn't go away when I do that, but everything works normally. I also have that update.

    performance can be measured cause both ie and edge lack A LOT of features firefox/ff clones, chrome, and opera have.

I have setup Google as my default search engine in Edge. If I open a new tab, and see "Where to next?" I have a problem that if I enter a search that has a "." it will fail. i.e. Search for "how to boot from NVMe m.2 SSD" I get an error...

Outlook suddenly displaying at wrong size in Edge
Not sure if this is a MS issue. Default zoom setting for Edge is 125% but Outlook email is suddenly really tiny in size despite Edge showing 125%. The right hand 30% of the screen is now just empty white space. If I change it to 100% and back to...
