I have been following this thread as I too see these links, and within the Tenforums.

I ran Norton, MBAM, AdwCleaner and Hitman Pro. While tracking cookies were found nothing else of note was found. Reset browser and restarted. Still see links.

Did more research and found that these are also call in-text advertising. Vibrant (vibrantmedia.com) is one supplier and they are based on keywords when you search. Went to their site and looked at one of their demo's. Low and behold Green links.

I agree with the members that you should run some of these other AV products to be sure. Some you can just run from the exe. AdwCleaner or HitMan Pro don't require formal installation.

If you download and try the Brave browser for your reading I think you may enjoy it. Alternately as one of the members has already posted look for an extension to block this behavior.

I have computers with both the Free Malwarebytes and the paid-for Malwarebytes, no interference with my antivirus programs. Now, those multi-function suites may have problems as they have more features but Malwarebytes doesn't look for the same things as an antivirus program does.

It's not a good idea to run two different antivirus programs at the same time.

The Malwarebytes 3 that you download isn't trial software, it's the full retail package. It's just the real-time protection that's on a 14-day free trial. If you go into 'MalwareBytes - Settings - My Account' you can turn off the 'premium trial'. It then becomes 'MalwareBytes Free', an on-demand scanner with a licence that will never expire.

No but it is another antivirus software I am running Avira Pro and one shouldn't run more than one antivirus software at the same time. I think you are reading the last post and now the thread, I addressed this in a earlier post..

When installed as Malwarebytes Free it isn't running at the same time, there's no real-time protection that can interfere with your other AV. It's an on-demand scanner only.
