I use Chrome on my Android phone, Windows boxes and my Linux boxes. But on my Mac, I actually prefer Safari. I have a tool that syncs my Safari and my Google Chrome bookmarks and such. Since IE and Edge don't work in so many of these areas, I just prefer to use other tools which do.

    "Depends"

If you're not old enough to remember that, never mind.

    I use neither.

I use ie11 as my main browser and Chrome as secondary. The reason; I use a 3rd party Anti-Virus program. Once edge is able to use the Anti-Virus extension I will take a hard look at it.

I know Edge was built for Windows 10 by MS, and hooked deeper in the system, so why do I get a great number of event log errors due to Edge and very few due to Chrome or Firefox?

Newer in concept, still early days in development.
I find the majority of Edge event log errors have had no effect whatsoever on performance.
